Low oxygen tension (PO), characterizes the tissue environment of tumors. The colorectal tumor line Colo205, grown under reduced oxygen tension expresses a novel αDβ1 integrin, which forms a cell surface complex with hemoglobin δ. This resulted in high local affinity for oxygen, which increased cell adhesion as compared with cells grown under normal oxygen tension.

Objectives: AML-2003 study sought to compare the long-term efficacy and safety of IAT and IdAraC-Ida in induction chemotherapy of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and introduce the results of an integrated genetic and clinical risk classification guided treatment strategy.

Methods: Patients were randomized to receive either IAT or IdAraC-Ida as the first induction treatment. Intensified postremission strategies were employed based on measurable residual disease (MRD) and risk classification.

Being a family carer can be rewarding but can also lead to mental and physical exhaustion as well as feelings of social exclusion and isolation. Research has shown that the use of the Internet and online forums can provide an immediate place to find information and reassurance and that forum use can be an empathetic place to share experiences and seek emotional support. This article details a systematic literature search of research on carers of people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism using the Internet.
