Chagas disease is a neglected tropical disease caused by Trypanosoma cruzi with clinical presentations ranging from asymptomatic to cardiac and/or gastrointestinal complications. The mechanisms of pathogenesis are still poorly understood, but T. cruzi strain diversity may be associated with disease progression.

Nuclear reactor cores achieve sustained fission chain reactions through the so-called "critical state"-a subtle equilibrium between their material properties and their geometries. Observed at macroscopic scales during operations, the resulting stationary neutron field is tainted by a noise term that hinders various fluctuations occurring at smaller scales. These fluctuations are either of a stochastic nature (whenever the core is operated at low power) or related to various perturbations and vibrations within the core, even operated in its power regime.

Trypanosoma cruzi Infection in Pregnancies without Congenital Transmission Is Associated with Reduced Fetal Growth: A Cross-Sectional Study in Argentina, Honduras, and Mexico.

We aimed to measure the association between Trypanosoma cruzi infection in pregnancy and reduced fetal growth in the absence of T. cruzi congenital transmission. We conducted a cross-sectional study of secondary data of all singleton live births between 2011 and 2013 in five hospitals from Argentina, Honduras, and Mexico.
