Language barriers during vaccination practice, the point of view of healthcare providers.

Background: Language barriers are one of the main obstacles faced by migrants in accessing healthcare services. A compromised communication between migrants and Healthcare Providers in vaccination setting can result in increased vaccine hesitancy and decreased vaccine uptake. The objective of the current study is to investigate Healthcare Providers' perceptions about linguistic barriers faced during both routinary vaccination practice and the extraordinary vaccination program for Ukrainian refugees in the Local Health Authorities of Bologna and Romagna (Italy).

The role of the socio-economic context in the spread of the first wave of COVID-19 in the Marche Region (central Italy).

The first wave of COVID-19 arrived in Italy in February 2020 severely hitting the northern regions and delineating sharp differences across the country, from North to South. The Marche Region (central Italy) is a good example of such uneven distribution of contagion and casualties. This paper discusses the spatial diffusion of COVID-19 during the spring of 2020 in the five provinces of Marche and discusses it by means of descriptive and quantitative analysis of local socio-economic variables.

The Role of Needle Fear in Pediatric Flu Vaccine Hesitancy: A Cross-Sectional Study in Bologna Metropolitan Area.

(1) Background: vaccination is the most effective way to prevent influenza and reduce its complications. The main aim of the study is to assess a possible increase of parents'/caregivers' pediatric flu vaccination adherence due to a nasal administration as an alternative to injection in Bologna. (2) Methods: 169 parents/guardians of children who were joining the COVID-19 pediatric vaccination session in Bologna were interviewed.

Compartmental surgery and primary reconstruction with microvascular free flaps represent the gold-standard in the treatment of oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC). However, there are still unclear clinical features that negatively affect the outcomes. This retrospective study included 80 consecutive patients with OTSCC who underwent compartmental surgery and primary reconstruction by free flap.
