Extraction of Fetal ECG From Abdominal and Thorax ECG Using a Non-Causal Adaptive Filter Architecture.

Extracting the Electrocardiogram (ECG) of a fetus from the ECG signal of the maternal abdomen is a challenging task due to different artifacts. The paper proposes a N-tap non-causal adaptive filter (NC-AF) that update the weight by considering the N number of past weights and N-1 number of the reference signal and error signal samples after the processing sample number n. Using the maternal abdominal signal as the primary signal and thorax signal as the reference input, the output e(n) is obtained from the mean of N number of errors.

Spotted fever diagnosis: Experience from a South Indian center.

Spotted fever (SF) is an important treatable cause of acute febrile illness (AFI) with rash and has reemerged in India. A prospective AFI with rash study was undertaken at a South Indian hospital to correlate specific clinical findings with laboratory confirmation of spotted fever. During the study period (December 2017 to May 2019), 175 patients with fever and rash were suspected to have spotted fever.

In this study, larvicide activity was investigated in relation to () and () of synthesised silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) of the () shell extract. The characterization techniques UV-vis spectral, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),High Resonance Scanning electron microscope (HR-SEM) analysis, X-ray diffraction studies (XRD), High Resonance-Transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) used to characterize biosynthesized AgNPs.
