[Poppers maculopathy (case study)].

The article presents a clinical case of poppers-associated maculopathy - a maculopathy of toxic genesis, insufficiently represented in Russian scientific literature. The diagnosis was based on anamnestic data (long-term use of poppers), specific structural disorders of the outer layers of the retina in the foveolar zone according to spectral optical coherence tomography, as well as changes in multifocal and ganzfeld electroretinography readings. The main strategy for patients with this disorder is complete rejection of poppers.

[Modern approaches to treatment of postsurgical macular edema].

Postsurgical macular edema, known as Irvine-Gass syndrome, is one of the possible causes of reduced visual acuity in ophthalmic surgery. The article reviews and summarizes data on the main approaches to the treatment of this pathology, discusses the main groups of drugs used to manage postoperative macular edema.

[Persistent hyaloid artery in an adult (a case report)].

The article presents a clinical case of a functioning hyaloid artery in a 69-year-old patient. The results of OCT-angiography made it possible to detect the presence of blood flow in the projection of the persistent hyaloid artery (PHA) on the cross-section and en-face images. The vascular bed of PHA spreading along the posterior surface of the lens in the form of separate branches was visualized by slit-lamp biomicroscopy.

[Morphological and functional condition of the macula after different types of phaco cataract surgeries].

Unlabelled: One of the directions of advancing phaco technology is related to adoption of hybrid phacoemulsification for clinical practice. Potential postsurgical changes in the macular area, when other factors are equal, can be seen as a conditional criterion for the injury rate of phaco surgeries.

Purpose: To evaluate morphological and functional condition of the macular area after different types of phaco cataract surgeries.
