Trifluralin (FLL) is extensively used in rapeseed fields in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) region. However, the degradation kinetics of FLL in this area and its impact on environmental microbial communities are not yet known. To investigate the degradation patterns and ecological benefits of FLL, this study established a comprehensive method for detecting FLL residues and selected efficient degrading bacterial strains.

Background: Bloodstream infection (BSI) is a systemic infection that predisposes individuals to sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. Early identification of infectious agents and determination of drug-resistant phenotypes can help patients with BSI receive timely, effective, and targeted treatment and improve their survival. This study was based on matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), Gradient Boosting Machine (GBM), eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), and Extremely Randomized Trees (ERT) models were constructed to classify carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli (CREC) and carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP).

Background: Tenuazonic acid (TeA), a mycotoxin produced by Alternaria alternata, contaminates various food commodities and is known to cause acute and chronic health effects. However, the lack of human toxicokinetic (TK) data and the reliance on external exposure estimates have stalled a comprehensive risk assessment for TeA.

Objective: To bridge this gap, a human TK trial and population-based TK (PopTK) modeling were applied to determine human TK parameters of TeA, and the results were applied for risk screening using population biomonitoring data and threshold of toxicological concern (TTC)-based approaches.
