View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe efficacy of random primer-pair arrays compared to conventional RAPD method with a single decamer primer was evaluated using DNA from two species of Cucumis. The banding patterns of amplicons revealed enhanced utility of primer-pair arrays over conventional RAPDs, producing more bands and a higher degree of polymorphism, both at intra- and inter-specific levels. Amplification produced by both methods clearly distinguished a wild from a cultivated species of the genus Cucumis.

Of these, 102 patients were diagnosed as non-neoplastic lesions. These include diffuse parenchymal disease of liver, liver abscess, hepatitis, and granulomas.

26 AIDS patients within a period of 3 years were studied for associated malignant disease. There were 4 associated malignancy. The commonest AIDS associated malignant disease found is Kaposi's sarcoma seen in 2 patients.
