This study assesses the impact of grape juice-based alginate or chitosan edible coatings, followed by UVC treatment, on the preservation of post-harvest quality of Red Globe grapes. Coated grapes were stored at 5 °C for 28 days, and their physical, chemical, microbiological, and sensory properties were assessed during the storage period. Films were prepared with grape juice using alginate and chitosan and exposed to 32.

Methods: We evaluated 155 highly sensitized renal transplant recipients with cPRA class I + II > 90% pre-transplant from 2015 to 2022.

Antibody-mediated rejection (ABMR) is a significant obstacle to achieving optimal long-term outcomes after solid organ transplantation. The presence of donor-specific antibodies (DSAs), particularly against human leucocyte antigen (HLA), increases the risk of allograft rejection and subsequent graft loss. No effective treatment for ABMR currently exists, warranting novel approaches to target the HLA-specific humoral alloimmune response.

Yet, following the COVID-19 lockdown and in the absence of standardized guidelines on how to best provide virtual chronic care to kidney transplant recipients, little is known about how this unique population coped and managed to comply with public health indications during confinement.
Methods: This study addresses this shortcoming by examining the experiences of patients from a tertiary hospital in Spain during the initial weeks of the lockdown decreed by the national government.
