Conjugated donor-acceptor (D-A) copolymers are widely used in optoelectronic devices due to their influence on the resulting properties. This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of the conjugated D-A copolymer constructed with fluorene and di-2-thienyl-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole units, resulting in Poly[2,7-(9,9-dioctyl-fluorene)-alt-5,5-(4,7-di(2-thienyl)-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole)] (PFDTBT). The synthesis associated with reaction times of 48 and 24 h, the latter incorporating the phase-transfer catalyst Aliquat 336, was investigated.

This study evaluated the impact of fermentation with Lactobacillus acidophilus pre-subjected to acid, osmotic, and oxidative stress conditions on the production of metabolites and the bioaccessibility of nutrients and bioactive compounds in fermented milks and yogurts. The products were added with orange bagasse (additional calcium - Ca source) and buriti pulp (carotenoids source). Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) were used to analyze the volatile and non-volatile compounds metabolites from fermentation, respectively.

The growing focus on sustainable use of natural resources has brought attention to cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL), a by-product rich in anacardic acids (AAs) with potential applications in diabetes treatment. In this study, three different AAs from CNSL, monoene (15:1, AAn1), diene (15:2, AAn2), and triene (15:3, AAn3), and a mixture of the three (mix) were evaluated as -glucosidase inhibitors. The samples were characterized by combining 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy, along with ESI-MS.

Introduction: With advances in AI and machine learning, platforms like OpenAI's ChatGPT are emerging as educational resources. While these platforms offer easy access and user-friendliness due to their personalized conversational responses, concerns about the accuracy and reliability of their information persist. As one of the most common surgical procedures performed by plastic surgeons worldwide, breast reduction surgery (BRS) offers relief for the physical and emotional burdens of large breasts.

Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH) is a benign but rare mesenchymal proliferation of the mammary stroma, characterized by pseudovascular spaces within a hyperplastic matrix. PASH can be classified as either non-tumor-forming or tumor-forming. The non-tumor-forming type is an infiltrative and clinically undetectable mass, incidentally found in approximately a quarter of breast biopsies.
