Effect of putrescine supplementation to in vitro maturation medium on embryo development and quality in cattle.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of putrescine supplementation to maturation medium during embryo production in cattle on maturation and embryo development/quality. Oocytes obtained from the ovaries of Holstein cattle were used in the study. Obtained cumulus-oocyte complexes were evaluated according to morphological structure, cytoplasmic features, and cumulus cell number, and only Category-I ones were used in the study.

Increased Postexercise Lipoxin A4 Levels in Exhaled Breath Condensate in Asthmatic Children With Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction.

Background: Lipoxins could be potential modulators of inflammation in the lungs. To our knowledge, the role of exhaled breath condensate (EBC) lipoxin A4 (LXA4) in asthmatic children with exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) has not been investigated.

Objective: The aim of our study was to determine the involvement of EBC LXA4 in EIB.

Is yoga training beneficial for exercise-induced bronchoconstriction?

Background: Some studies have shown the beneficial effects of yoga for individuals with bronchial hyperreactivity with regard to (1) a reduction in the use of rescue medication, (2) an increase in exercise capacity, and (3) an improvement in lung function. Despite the fact that yoga is promising as a new treatment for pediatric patients, further studies are needed to assess the use of this training for asthma management.
