Objective: Parathyroidectomy (PTX) is indicated in primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) with osteoporosis or nephrolithiasis. There is not a uniform consensus on the benefit of PTX for non-specific symptoms, but patient-reported questionnaires have demonstrated improved quality of life (QOL) afterwards. This study aimed to evaluate physical activity and sleep after PTX using smartwatch technology.

Background And Objectives: Parathyroid gland detection is a fundamental skill in endocrine surgery that is enhanced with experience. This study aims to investigate the impact of near-infrared autofluorescence (NIRAF) imaging on a surgical team's ability to recognize parathyroid glands during thyroidectomy and parathyroidectomy procedures across different training levels.

Methods: Patients who underwent thyroidectomy or parathyroidectomy under NIRAF guidance by three surgeons between March and June 2024 were included.

The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by SARS-CoV-2, prompted global efforts to develop vaccines to control the disease. Various vaccines, including mRNA (BNT162b2, mRNA-1273), adenoviral vector (ChAdOx1, Ad26.COV2.

Background: Ablation is an alternative treatment modality for selected patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLMs). Although initially widely performed via radiofrequency ablation (RFA), more recently, microwave ablation (MWA) is being preferred due to its perceived superiority in creating the ablation zones. The aim of this study is to compare the long-term efficacy of these two modalities performed surgically.

Importance: The success of parathyroidectomy depends on accurate intraoperative localization and identification of all diseased glands in parathyroid exploration based on surgeon expertise to prevent persistent hyperparathyroidism. Near-infrared autofluorescence (NIRAF) imaging has recently emerged as a promising adjunctive intraoperative tool for localizing parathyroid glands; however, its potential utility in the assessment of parathyroid glands has yet to be established.

Objective: To analyze the differences in NIRAF signatures of parathyroid glands in single vs multiple glands in primary hyperparathyroidism (pHPT).
