Intracranial complications of rhinosinusitis. A review, typical imaging data and algorithm of management.

Statement Of The Problem: Intracranial complications of acute bacterial sinusitis remain life-threatening. We aimed to study the current features of the condition--illustration, clinical presentations, risk factors, and define a management strategy.

Method Of Study: A retrospective study.

[The importance of early surgery in preventing the esthetic sequelae of cervicofacial mucocutaneous hemangiomas in children].

Infants with cutaneous hemangiomas are classically managed medically, well-defined surgery being planned for esthetic correction at the age of 8 to 10 years. We present a series of 65 cases of early surgery in children with head and neck cutaneous or mucosal hemangiomas where irreversible and unesthetic scars were predictable. The surgical procedure was simple and the cosmetic result was better than could be expected after late surgery, limiting psychological consequences.

[Basocellular nevomatosis. Follow-up of 3 generations].

We report on Gorlin-Goltz syndrome observed in 4 patients belonging to three generations of the same family. We present the clinical findings and emphasize recent genetic discoveries. We discuss the difficulty in following these patients and propose a series of simple explorations which can be helpful.
