Outcomes of haploidentical transplants with PT-CY vs 10/10 MUD transplants with ATG in Germany.

Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is the best curative treatment modality for many malignant hematologic disorders. In the absence of a matched related donor, matched unrelated donors (MUDs) and haploidentical donors are the most important stem cell sources. In this registry-based retrospective study, we compared the outcomes of allo-HSCTs from 10/10 MUDs with antithymocyte globulin (ATG)-based regimens (n = 7050) vs haploidentical transplants (Haplo-Tx) using posttransplant cyclophosphamide (PT-CY Haplo; n = 487) in adult patients with hematologic malignancies between 2010 and 2020.

Validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the hearing implant sound quality index questionnaire (HISQUI).

Objectives: The aim was to construct validity and reliability of the Hearing Implant Sound Quality Index Questionnaire (HISQUI19) in Turkish.

Methods: This study was a methodologic study to validate HISQUI19 in Turkish. The study included 62 cochlear implant users.

External quality assessment performance in ten countries: an IFCC global laboratory quality project.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess the validity of external quality assessment (EQA) laboratory results across various cultural and environmental contexts and to identify potential improvement areas.

Methods: The International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) Task Force on Global Laboratory Quality (TF-GLQ) conducted a 2-year study (2022 and 2023) in which EQA materials, related software and online training was provided by a commercial vendor to 100 laboratories in ten IFCC member society countries. The results were analysed on a monthly basis by the TF-GLQ, to show the number of submissions per country, tests per lab, acceptability rates, random failures and to get a measure of which analytes performed poorly.

[Evaluation of care for slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) in Germany].

Introduction: The treatment concept for slipped capital femoral epiphysis is still controversial. According to studies, there is currently no recommendation for a universal approach. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the care reality of children with ECF in Germany.
