Epilepsy patients are at a higher risk of developing overweight and obesity. Given the thermogenic properties of (Guarana), this study aimed to evaluate a potential pharmacokinetic interaction between extract and phenytoin in rats. Two pharmacokinetic studies were developed with and phenytoin: a coadministration and a pre-treatment study.

Caring for patients in intensive care units (ICUs) requires healthcare workers to recognize the importance of a spiritual care approach in these settings. Moving toward a holistic and patient-centered care model that incorporates spiritual care is essential for enhancing patients' healing process. The disease-centered approach of ICU and the perceived deficit of spiritual care highlight the need to add knowledge on integrating spiritual care interventions into daily ICU practices.

Poly(butylene succinate-co-adipate) (PBSA), a biodegradable plastic, is significantly colonized and degraded by soil microbes under natural field conditions, especially by fungal plant pathogens, raising concerns about potential economic losses. This study hypothesizes that the degradation of biodegradable plastics may increase the presence and abundance of plant pathogens by serving as an additional carbon source, ultimately posing a risk to forest ecosystems. We investigated (i) fungal plant pathogens during the exposure of PBSA in European broadleaved and coniferous forests (two forest types), with a specific focus on potential risk to tree health, and (ii) the response of such fungi to environmental factors, including tree species, soil pH, nutrient availability, moisture content, and the physicochemical properties of leaf litter layer.

Background And Aims: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are an important health problem, and the Covid-19 pandemic affected several lifestyle and health aspects worldwide, including moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA), sedentary behavior (SB) and sleep time, which compose the 24-h movement guidelines (24-hMG). It is unclear whether meeting 24-hMG during pandemic have been associated with MSD in adult population and this study aimed to analyze the association of meeting 24-hMG with spinal MSD in undergraduate students during Covid-19 pandemic.

Methods: A sample of 71 undergraduate students were assessed (24.

This study aimed to investigate the degradation of dry biopotential electrodes using the anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV) technique. The electrodes were based on Ti-Cu thin films deposited on different polymeric substrates (polyurethane, polylactic acid, and cellulose) by Direct Current (DC) magnetron sputtering. TiCu thin films (chemical composition of 25.
