An HIV-positive patient developed disseminated Enterocytozoon bieneusi infection. The parasite was identified in stool, duodenal biopsy, nasal discharge, and sputum specimens using transmission electron microscopy. Albendazole therapy failed to improve the symptoms or eradicate the parasite.
