Molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is a qualitative enamel alteration that asymmetrically affects the first molars and may also affect permanent incisors, clinically presenting as demarcated opacities with white, yellow, or brown discoloration. This condition can lead to increased risk of caries, esthetic impairment, fractures, and tooth loss. The aim of this case report is to describe the implementation of an esthetic treatment involving dental bleaching, resin infiltration (RI), and composite resin restoration for a patient with MIH.

Establishing natural geochemical backgrounds (GB) or geochemical baseline levels (GBL) for metals in these soils is challenging due to the dynamic coastal conditions and the combined influence of anthropogenic and natural geological factors. This study aims to establish the natural geochemical background of trace elements in mangrove soils, a more complex task than establishing GBL.

This study investigated the antimicrobial efficacy of a cell-free supernatant (CFS) and live cells from a mixture of Limosilactobacillus fermentum strains (139, 296, and 263). These strains are candidates for probiotic use and were evaluated against five STb virotype enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) strains. Antagonistic activities of L.

To better control the process of ligand functionalization over three-dimensional (3D) polyester surfaces, we report the characterization of hybrid proteins developed to enhance the anchoring efficiency over polymeric surfaces and preserve optimal spatial orientation: sfGFP, mRFP1, and the RBD proteins were attached to a polyester substrate binding domain (SBD) formed by the C-terminus region of PHA depolymerase. The binding ability was evaluated over poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) microparticles (MP) and two-dimensional (2D) surfaces.

The key to trees response to drought is an understanding of tree water use and carbohydrate storage. Our objective was to evaluate sap velocity and dynamics of non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) in native trees of a dry tropical forest, during rainy and drought periods.
