Article Synopsis
  • FeRh-based alloys are noteworthy for their magnetic phase transition and magnetocaloric effects, making them suitable for research and applications like magnetic cooling and drug delivery.
  • The study focuses on how substituting Rhodium or Iron with other transition metals impacts these properties while addressing the uncertainty over which atom (Fe or Rh) is replaced during this process.
  • Through ab initio calculations, the paper offers a method to predict the substitution dynamics and provides a supporting dataset for future modeling, enhancing our understanding and application of FeRh alloys in various fields.

Several boron-dipyrrin (BODIPY) based fluorophores with two and three dipyrrin cores were synthesized and investigated in solvents under the concentration variation. Comparative analysis of spectral and photophysical changes under increasing the number of the cores in the dye molecule was made. Mutual influence of dipyrrin cores was detected leading to the increasing of the compounds rigidity and, thus, the absence of fluorescent molecular rotor effects under the viscosity variation.
