[The arrest of hemorrhage in mechanical injuries to parenchymatous organs].

The work describes results of the application of a new highly effective hemostatic drug--Caprofer. The investigations were performed in 61 rabbits who were given graded injuries of the liver, kidney and spleen. In all the cases hemostasis made its appearance quickly within 1-20 sec.

[Changes in the surface area and shape of growing organisms].

Equations describing the changes in body surface area of rats and humans during ontogenesis are proposed. A function of difference between the body surface and the surface of sphere of similar weight and density was chosen in order to characterize the body plan formation. Equations describing these processes in rats and humans are proposed.
