We studied the hydroboration of the C fullerene using both B3LYP-D3(BJ)/6-311G(d,p) and M06-2X-D3/6-311G(d,p) levels of theory, incorporating the empirical dispersion interaction, and Fukui index calculations. Potential energy surfaces (PESs) and Gibbs free energy surfaces (GFESs) were calculated for the pathways from four BH adducts (located at the , , , and sites) on the C to eight products formed by the 1,2-addition of BH across the four [6,6]-ring fused bonds (, , , and ) and across the two [5,6]-ring fused bonds ( and ). These pathways are two-step consecutive reactions.

However, the concept and practice of active aging are highly debated because it is unclear how people perceive active aging. This study explored Japanese people's attitudes toward active aging (ATAA) and examined the associations between ATAA scores and sociodemographic variables, views on older adults, and self-rated life and health.

Introduction: This study aimed to compare the characteristics and outcomes of critically ill patients with COVID-19-associated acute kidney injury (AKI) who were treated with kidney replacement therapy (KRT) in the first and second waves of the pandemic in the megalopolis of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Methods: A multicenter retrospective study was conducted in 10 intensive care units (ICUs). Patients aged ≥18 years, and treated with KRT due to COVID-19-associated AKI were included.
