sp. nov., a novel ascomycetous yeast species associated with the Georgian honeysuckle ( M. Bieb.).

During an investigation of the yeast communities associated with wild fruit shrubs in Dagestan (Caucasus, Russia), four fermenting ascospore-producing yeast strains were isolated from leaves of the Georgian honeysuckle ( M. Bieb.) and from soil underneath this plant.

[Clinical and psychological features of people with internet dependence: experience of a pilot study].

Objective: The prevalence of Internet addiction (IA) is growing steadily, especially among the younger generation. The purpose of this multicenter study was to investigate the socio-demographic characteristics, clinical varieties, and profile of psychopathological symptoms of mental disorders in patients with IA.

Material And Methods: The study included 2 groups: the main group consisted of 44 people, aged 16 to 34 years, average age 22.

[Yeasts of the Vineyards in Dagestan and Other Regions].

Long-term studies of yeast species diversity in the vineyards of the Republic of Dagestan using various isolation techniques and various substrates in the vertical tier dynamics revealed 38 species. The most diverse species complex including -80% of the isolated species was formed on the berries. A list of 160 yeast species isolated from grapes, spontaneously fermented fresh juice, and other vineyard substrates was compiled using the results of the present work and the literature data on yeast occurrence.

[Pathogenesis of the syndrome of nocturnal enuresis].

Examination of 95 patients with nocturnal enuresis revealed symptoms of natal insufficiency of the spinal cord in most of the cases, involving the cervical portion more frequently than the lumbar enlargement. The principal symptoms correlating with EMG findings are described. The identification in a large group of enuresis patients a subgroup with enuresis related to spinal abnormality opens additional perspectives in the pathogenetic therapy of this wide-spread disease.
