Unlabelled: The article is devoted to the problem of the rehabilitation stage of cochlear implantation in patients with inner ear abnormalities. It provides a detailed analysis of the audiological characteristics of such patients and draws conclusions about approaches to interpreting diagnostic data and speech processors fitting.
Material And Methods: The track records of 80 patients with abnormalities of the inner ear development were retrospectively studied, of which 10 had abnormal structure of the auditory nerve.
The effect of triazino-indole derivative (Trisan) on hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) expression level in the organ of Corti, when administering it for therapeutic and preventive purposes, was investigated using an acoustic trauma model in experimental animals (female F1 hybrids of CBA and C57BL/6 lines). Cytoflavin was used as a comparator product. Study product Trisan (1% solution) was injected intravenously, intramuscularly and intraperitoneally, in the dose of 5, 7 and 10 mg/kg 2 h after the acoustic trauma for therapeutic purposes and in the dose of 5, 7 and 10 mg/kg for 3 days before the acoustic trauma for preventive purposes.

Sixty five patients with chronic suppurative otitis media were examined and treated to estimate the clinical efficiency of the proposed complex of therapeutic and rehabilitative measures. It is maintained that this complex allows to achieve the positive results of reconstructive and restorative surgery without waiting for the development of long-term remission.

Eighty four patients with Eustachian tube dysfunction and impairment of hearing had a thin catheter introduced in the tube lumen for 7-14 days after various rhinosurgical interventions. We estimated the efficacy of the local treatment following rhinosurgery with the subsequent prolonged administration of pharmaceutical products through the intratubal drainage system.

The objective of the present study was to improve the quality and efficacy of the surgical treatment of chronic otitis media including the plastic correction of total and subtotal tympanic defects by fixing a many-layer chondro-perichondrial autograft with the use of a latex tissue glue. Twenty seven patients presenting with total and subtotal defects of the tympanic membrane underwent surgical intervention in the lateral position. The multilayer transplants composed of a thinned cartilage, fascia, and transposed circular cutaneous graft on the feeding pedicle were fixed using the latex tissue glue.
