Glossary of healthcare pathways: a methodological approach involving a transdisciplinary team in public health.

Introduction: The healthcare pathway is at the heart of public health organization concerns, but communication between the various players can be an obstacle. This work, produced by a French transdisciplinary team, offers a methodological approach based on formalized consensus to elaborate a glossary of healthcare pathways. A two-steps procedure was elaborated, including a double rounded Delphi method to formalize expert consensus, and two groups of experts: a workgroup and a review group.

Background And Purpose: Blood-based biomarkers are a non-invasive solution to predict the risk of conversion of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to dementia. The utility of free plasma amyloid peptides (not bound to plasma proteins and/or cells) as an early indicator of conversion to dementia is still debated, as the results of studies have been contradictory. In this context, we investigated whether plasma levels of the free amyloid peptides Aβ and Aβ and the free plasma Aβ/Aβ ratio are associated with the conversion of MCI to dementia, in particular AD, over three years of follow-up in a subgroup of the BALTAZAR cohort.

Pointed out by the success of PD-1 (programmed cell death-1) plus CTLA-4 (cytotoxic-T-lymphocyte associated antigen 4) blockade in patients with melanoma, the perspective of new synergistic immunotherapy combinations seems to be an important opportunity to improve outcomes for patients. In this article, we first focus on immunotherapy combinations that have shown their efficiency and that are currently approved in solid tumors.

Human Papillomaviruses in Adolescents: Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices of Pharmacists Regarding Virus and Vaccination in France.

(HPVs) are responsible for one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in the world, and their oncogenic role has been well demonstrated in genital, anal, and oropharyngeal areas. However, a certain distrust and a lack of knowledge about this vaccine are perceptible among French adolescents and their parents. Thus, health professionals and, more particularly, pharmacists appear to be key persons to promote HPV vaccination and restore confidence in the target population.

Epidemiology and Clinical Burden of Meningococcal Disease in France: Scoping Review.

Invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) remains a significant health concern due to its unpredictable nature and its rapid progression. Even if occurrence of IMD is strictly monitored by a national surveillance network, no information on long-term sequelae is reported, making it difficult to assess the entire clinical burden of IMD in France. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated problems and triggered a decline in well-being, with drastic increase in the incidence of conditions such as anxiety, depression, and stress. Approximately 20,000 mental health apps are listed in mobile app stores.

Pediatric-Adult Care Transition: Perceptions of Adolescent and Young Adult Patients with Sickle Cell Disease and Their Healthcare Providers.

Introduction: The pediatric-adult care transition, which takes place during adolescence, is a high-risk period for medical care adherence in chronic diseases, this encompasses treatment adherence, attending medical consultations and following healthcare advice. Studying perceptions is needed to get a more comprehensive picture of this care transition and to propose interventions to address the gaps.
