Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spans diverse fields from biology to quantum science. Employing NMR on a floating object could unveil novel possibilities beyond conventional operational paradigms. Here, we observe NMR within a levitating microdiamond using the nuclear spins of nitrogen-14 atoms.

Substantial experimental evidence supports the role of infected seeds as a contamination route, but the epidemiologic portrait of the virus has received less attention. This study reports the first survey of ToBRFV prevalence in commercial greenhouses.

Design: An explorative ancillary study of the French CrusoeNET cohort.
Methods: Patients managed in the Lyon-EURACAN Center of Excellence (CoE) were included when they were aged of at least 18 years, treated and followed for an advanced/metastatic ileum or lung NET, a NET irrespective of the primary location or from unknown primary location but with clinical CS, and/or elevation of urinary 5-HIAA (u5HIAA) twice greater than the upper limit of normal.
Bacteria respond to metal pollution through sensors that control the uptake and the detoxification machineries. Specificity in metal recognition is therefore a prerequisite for triggering the appropriate response, particularly when facing a mixture of metals. In response to Cu, the purple bacterium induces the efflux Cu-ATPase CopA by the Cu regulator CopR.

This study evaluates the safety and potential benefits of PBM on pancreatic beta cells and islets. PBM was applied to insulin-secreting cell lines (MIN6) and rat pancreatic islets using a 670 nm light source, continuous output, with a power density of 2.8 mW/cm², from 5 s to several 24 h.

The modeled CA-125 ELIMination rate constant K (KELIM) is a pragmatic indicator of tumor primary chemosensitivity. Although it is well established that mutations are associated with platinum sensitivity, the relationship between status and KELIM score has yet to be elucidated.

Biomonitoring pesticides with lichens has been poorly documented, although it represents a complementary approach to the usual active samplings, with an exposure to pesticides accumulated and integrated over several months. An optimized extraction procedure from the lichen Xanthoria parietina followed by a gas chromatographic-tandem mass spectrometric analysis is proposed here to quantify simultaneously 48 pesticides considered in France as priority active substances to monitor in the air.

Attributing motives to others is a crucial aspect of mentalizing, can be biased by prejudice, and is affected by common psychiatric disorders. It is therefore important to understand in depth the mechanisms underpinning it. Toward improving models of mentalizing motives, we hypothesized that people quickly infer whether other's motives are likely beneficial or detrimental, then refine their judgment (classify-refine).

Assessing chlordecone degradation remains challenging due to analytical constraints to identify transformation products. Here, multielement compound-specific isotope analysis (ME-CSIA) was used to identify changes in stable isotope signatures of chlordecone produced during abiotic transformation reactions under reducing and oxidative conditions.

The POLO trial showed that olaparib (PARP inhibitor) improved progression-free survival (PFS) but not overall survival (OS), when used as maintenance therapy after ≥ 16 weeks of disease control with first-line platinum-based chemotherapy in patients with germline (g) BRCA 1 or 2 pathogenic variants (PV) metastatic PDAC. However, real-world data on the effectiveness of olaparib are missing.

In this work, we investigate how the optical response of an ensemble of V centers evolves with the hBN thickness in a range of a few to hundreds of nanometers. We show that the photoluminescence intensity features a nontrivial evolution with thickness, which is quantitatively reproduced by numerical calculations taking into account thickness-dependent variations of the absorption, radiative lifetime, and radiation pattern of V centers.

Unfortunately, new drug development is often hampered by poor drug-like properties of lead compounds. Prodrugging temporarily masks undesirable compound features, improving bioavailability and target penetration.

Individual factors can impact CLAD, but no large genetic investigation has been conducted to date. We established the multicentric Genetic COhort in Lung Transplantation (GenCOLT) biobank from a rich and homogeneous sub-part of COLT cohort.

However, the best treatment sequence remains unknown. We designed a retrospective multicenter study that included patients from the national prospective database of the Groupe d'Étude des Tumeurs Endocrines who had been treated using everolimus and PRRT between April 2004 and October 2022.

However, the Vaccine Coverage Rate of influenza remains low and multifaceted efforts are required to improve it. The aim of this study was to assess the impact on influenza vaccine perception using a digital tool among outpatients and health care workers (HCWs).

Their atmospheric photolysis is poorly documented, and gaps persist in understanding their reactivity in the particle phase.

Here, using rodent models, we examined how two proteins, Netrin-1 and its receptor, UNC5C, guide dopamine axons toward the prefrontal cortex and shape behaviour. We demonstrate in mice () that dopamine axons reach the cortex through a transient gradient of Netrin-1-expressing cells - disrupting this gradient reroutes axons away from their target.
