In the human body, bioelectric cues are crucial for tissue stimulation and regeneration. Electrical stimulation (ES) significantly enhances the regeneration of nerves, bones, cardiovascular tissues, and wounds. However, the use of conventional devices with stimulating metal electrodes is invasive and requires external batteries.

To meet the need for validated IPE tools in Vietnam, we translated the IPAS into Vietnamese (Viet-IPAS) and evaluated its psychometric properties. The preparatory phases included forward and backward translation, expert consultations, and student feedback, resulting in strong content validity, face validity, linguistic comprehensibility, and test-retest reliability.

The HCV core antigen (HCVcAg), a viral protein essential for replication, offers a cost-effective alternative to HCV RNA testing, particularly in resource-limited settings. This review explores the significance of HCVcAg, a key protein in the hepatitis C virus, examining its structure, function, and role in the viral life cycle.

However, recent studies have provided conflicting views on the roles of TJs in epithelial polarity. Membrane proteins, including occludin, claudin, and the junction adhesion molecule, have been identified as TJ components.

The composites are porous material with a relatively large pore size (35.3 nm).

Transfer learning is done with three pre-trained models trained on separate datasets: transfemoral amputees, able-bodied individuals, and a mixed dataset of both groups. Each model is subsequently fine-tuned using data from a new transfemoral amputee subject.

Cases without such trauma history are rare in existing literature. Here, we present the case of a 56-year-old cirrhotic patient who lacked any prior aquatic-related trauma and arrived at the emergency department in a state of septic shock.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study in Vietnam from June to August 2022. Participants completed a questionnaire on their demographic characteristics, knowledge and attitudes toward opioid therapy, and barriers to accessing opioids for cancer pain.
Pacific Island countries have experienced periodic dengue, chikungunya and Zika outbreaks for decades. The prevention and control of these mosquito-borne diseases rely heavily on control of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, which in most settings are the primary vector. Introgression of the intracellular bacterium Wolbachia pipientis (wMel strain) into Ae.

These generated charges can directly stimulate bone regeneration by triggering signaling pathway that is important for regulating osteogenesis of cells seeded on the materials. On the other hand, mechanical forces applied to the biomaterials play an important role in bone regeneration through the process called mechanotransduction.

Moreover, the regenerative potential of stem cells can be improved with the use of biologically active compounds. Our study was designed to explore the effect of honokiol, a small polyphenol molecule extracted from , on the survival and culture time of iPSC-derived neurons from a sporadic Alzheimer's disease (AD) patient.

In this study, we evaluate the outcomes of benign thyroid tumour treatment using transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy via vestibular approach (TOETVA) and compare the results with those of conventional open thyroidectomy (COT).
Patients And Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study between 100 patients who underwent TOETVA and 100 who underwent COT surgery for benign diseases from June 2018 to December 2021 in our hospital.
Background: Recently, modified radical neck dissection (MRND) for papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) has been performed by the transoral endoscopic approach. However, dissection of level II lymph nodes using only the transoral approach is highly difficult because of the inadequate axis of surgical view. Hence, we decided to combine the transoral and chest approaches to perform MRND.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional cohort study in which the cohort was defined as all residential patients diagnosed with CRC in a tertiary hospital, Hue Central Hospital (HCH), in central Vietnam from 2013 to 2019. Social support was considered the main independent variable and was evaluated using the Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey (MOS-SSS), a self-administered 19-item SS survey.
The type I phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate 5-kinase (PIP5K) family produces the critical lipid regulator phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PI(4,5)P2) in the plasma membrane (PM). Here, we investigated the potential role of PIP5Kγ, a PIP5K isoform, in the Hippo pathway. The ectopic expression of PIP5Kγ87 or PIP5Kγ90, two major PIP5Kγ splice variants, activated large tumor suppressor kinase 1 (LATS1) and inhibited Yes-associated protein (YAP), whereas PIP5Kγ knockdown yielded opposite effects.

However, there are few reports on the effectiveness and safety of TOETVA in children. In this study, we report the results of the application of TOETVA on 27 pediatric patients in Vietnam.

In this video, we show a three-port TORT without an axillary incision for papillary thyroid carcinoma.
Patient And Methods: A 35-year-old female with cT1aN0M0 papillary thyroid carcinoma had a strong motivation to proceed with surgery but avoid external neck incisions.
The application of the National Immunization Information System at primary health facilities is crucial in improving the quality of medical examinations as well as collecting and reporting immunization information. This study aimed to describe the infrastructure for the Expanded Program on Immunization's software at communes/wards/towns health centers (CHCs) of a province in central Vietnam and to evaluate the capacity of using immunization software of health officers. Another objective was to identify factors associated with skills in using the software of participants.

Rising ocean temperature is a major driver of kelp forest decline worldwide and one that threatens to intensify over the coming decades. What is not particularly well understood are the mechanisms that drive loss and how they operate at differing life stages. This study aimed to establish an understanding of the effects of increasing temperature on the early developmental stages of the giant kelp, Macrocystis pyrifera.
