In clinical acupuncture practice, needle twirling (NT) and needle retention (NR) are strategically combined to achieve different therapeutic effects, highlighting the importance of distinguishing between different acupuncture states. Scalp EEG has been proven significantly relevant to brain activity and acupuncture stimulation. In this work, we designed an acupuncture paradigm to collect scalp EEG to study the differences in EEG changes during different acupuncture states.

Gallium-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs), including AlGaInP and GaN, have become the most widely used light-emitting devices in modern scientific research and practical applications. However, structures like carrier injection layers, active layers, and quantum well layers ensure the high luminescence efficiency of LEDs but also limit their applications at the micro- and nanoscale. Although the next generation of micrometer-scale light-emitting diodes (Micro-LEDs) has alleviated these issues to some extent, challenges such as edge effects and etching damage caused by size reduction lead to lower luminous efficiency and shorter lifetimes.

Objective: Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a motor neuron disorder encompassing 5q and non-5q forms, causing muscle weakness and atrophy due to spinal cord cell degeneration. Understanding its genetic basis is crucial for genetic counseling and personalized treatment options.
Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed families of patients suspected of SMA at our institution from February 2006 to March 2024.
Developing high-energy-density lithium-sulfur batteries faces serious polysulfide shuttle effects and sluggish conversion kinetics, often necessitating the excessive use of electrolytes, which in turn adversely affects battery performance. Our study introduces a meticulously designed electrocatalyst, Cu-CeO@N/C, to enhance lean-electrolyte lithium-sulfur battery performance. This catalyst, featuring in situ synthesized Cu clusters, regulates oxygen vacancies in CeO and forms Cu-CeO heterojunctions, thereby diminishing sulfur conversion barriers and hastening reaction kinetics through the generation of S/S intermediates.
