Objective: Given the lack of a value framework for assessing health technologies in Asian settings, a value framework incorporating multiple-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) for new drugs under universal healthcare coverage in Taiwan was established.
Methods: The development process included: 1) the adoption of five value domains (i.e.
Introduction: It is critical to assess the progress toward achieving the national goal of reducing premature mortality from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by one-third by 2030 in Vietnam. This study aimed to examine the pooled prevalence of dyslipidemia among the Vietnamese adult population.
Method: Five databases, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, CINAHL, Google Scholar, and local peer-reviewed journals were searched from inception to May 2024 without language restrictions.

This study examines the impact of the mandatory greenhouse gas emissions reporting program (GHGRP) on corporate greenwashing behaviour. Utilising the GHGRP in the United States as a quasi-natural experiment, we perform a difference-in-difference analysis to a panel dataset of 2731 publicly listed US firms from 2007 to 2022. The data consist of annual observations of firm-level variables, including ESG performance and disclosure metrics, financial characteristics, and environmental innovation indicators.

Obtaining optimal symmetry often requires secondary procedures whether reconstruction is unilateral or bilateral, implant-based or autologous, immediate or delayed. Consequently, determining the ideal method to achieve symmetry, particularly in challenging scenarios, such as the radiated breast, is nuanced and requires experienced decision-making.

Background: Awake prone positioning (APP) may be beneficial in patients with respiratory failure who are not receiving mechanical ventilation. Randomized controlled trials of APP have been performed during peak COVID-19 periods in unvaccinated populations, with limited data on compliance or patient acceptability. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and acceptability of APP in a lower-middle income country in an open-label randomized controlled trial using a dedicated APP implementation team and wearable continuous-monitoring devices.

Objectives: To investigate the serum IL-6 levels and their rate of change in predicting the mortality of critically ill patients with COVID-19 in Vietnam.
Design: A single-centre, cross-sectional study.
Setting: An Intensive Care Centre for the Treatment of Critically Ill Patients with COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Telemedicine is an effective method to monitor patients at home and improve outcomes of heart failure (HF), especially HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). However, little is known about the impact of telemedicine on the quality of life (QoL) among outpatients with HFrEF in lower-middle-income countries (LMICs). In this single-center, prospective, randomized, controlled, open, and parallel-group clinical trial in northern Vietnam, patients with HFrEF were allocated to either telemedicine or control groups.

However, a significant outbreak of quartan malaria caused by occurred in Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Hoa Province, Vietnam in 2023 and the outbreak persists. In this report, we present the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of this unprecedented outbreak of quartan malaria in Vietnam.

Methanol, a cheap and readily available resource from chemical industry, could be activated by transition metal catalysts. This review focuses in covering the recent five-years literature and provides a systematic summary of strategies for methanol activation and the use in organic chemistry.

Summary Answer: Based on this secondary analysis of a large randomized clinical trial (RCT), sperm morphology has limited value as a biomarker to identify couples who benefit more from ICSI over c-IVF on live birth, ongoing pregnancy, clinical pregnancy or total fertilization failure.
What Is Known Already: Our recent RCT showed that ICSI did not result in higher live birth rates in couples with normal total sperm count and motility. It is unclear whether sperm morphology can be used as a biomarker to identify couples who benefit more from ICSI over c-IVF in this population.
The data in this work provides the effect of aging temperature on manganese oxide allotropes prepared by hydrothermal method in the presence of boron dopant. The synthesized samples were labeled as B/MnO -100, B/MnO -150, and B/MnO -180 corresponding to the hydrothermal temperature at 100, 150, and 180 °C, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) methods were conducted to clarify the crystalline structure, as well as the amount of potassium, manganese, and boron elements in the three synthesized samples.

Clinical trials with "first generation" bnAbs used alone or in combination show promising antiviral effects but also highlight that additional engineering of "enhanced" antibodies will be required for optimal clinical utility, while preserving or enhancing cGMP manufacturing capability. Here we report the engineering of an anti-CD4 binding-site (CD4bs) bnAb, N49P9.

Blood screening laboratories play a critical role in detecting and preventing the spread of infectious diseases, ensuring the safety of blood transfusions, and supporting medical diagnoses. To enhance the quality of processes in such laboratories, the Six Sigma methodology has gained significant recognition for its ability to systematically identify and minimize variations, thereby improving overall efficiency and reducing errors.

Aim: This study aimed to translate the CLEO tool from French into Vietnamese, validate the Vietnamese version, and demonstrate its feasibility in daily practice.
Method: The CLEO tool was translated into Vietnamese (CLEO) using a 5-step process by bilingual experts.
(1) Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) poses a growing cardiovascular challenge globally, with significant implications in Vietnam. This study aimed to investigate the impact of AF on ischemic stroke/transient ischemic attack (TIA) and clinical outcomes, as well as the utilization of oral anticoagulation (OAC) therapy in Vietnam. (2) Methods: Data from the Registry of Stroke Care Quality (RES-Q) across 66 hospitals in Vietnam between 2017 and 2023 were utilized.
