The "work horse" for the treatment of full-thickness defects of any etiology, including chronic nonhealing wounds and traumatic injuries, is generally autologous split-thickness skin grafts (STSGs), meshed, hand-fenestrated, or a sheet graft. Advancements in skin tissue engineering have allowed for the integration of dermal substitutes to be combined with autologous STSGs, adding valuable options for restoring the skin's complex multilayered structure. Although dermal templates offer a promising avenue for more nuanced reconstruction in certain cases, their application is not without challenges, particularly when they are made from delicate materials.

The vascular anatomy of the deep inferior epigastric artery perforator (DIEP) flap has been well studied in the planning for autologous breast reconstruction. Preoperative imaging with computed tomography angiography (CTA) provides accurate assessment of this vascular anatomy, which varies widely across patients. Several papers to date have described their encounter with an anomalous "epiperitoneal" or "peritoneo-cutaneous" perforator during flap harvest, a perforator that pierces the posterior rectus sheath from a peritoneal origin, to traverse rectus abdominis and supply the DIEP flap integument.

Background: Multidetector computed tomographic (MDCT) assessment of the aortoventricular interface has gained increased importance with the advent of minimally invasive treatment modalities for aortic and mitral valve disease. This has included a standardised technique of identifying a plane through the nadir of each coronary cusp, the basal plane, and taking further measurements in relation to this plane. Despite this there is no published data defining normal ranges for these aortoventricular metrics in a healthy cohort.

A 92-year-old woman presented with an acute onset generalised maculopapular rash with associated mucosal involvement, on a background of recent start of griseofulvin. The rash progressed rapidly over 2 days to involve most of her body, however, mucosal involvement was limited to her oral mucosa. Characteristic target lesions appeared at 72 h, and a diagnosis of erythema multiforme secondary to griseofulvin was made after further investigation and skin biopsy.
