Here, we demonstrate the link between Srsf3 and mitochondrial integrity in an embryonic cardiomyocyte-specific Srsf3 conditional knockout (cKO) mouse model. Fifteen-day-old Srsf3 cKO mice showed dramatically reduced (below 50%) survival and reduced the left ventricular systolic performance, and histological analysis of these hearts revealed a significant increase in cardiomyocyte size, confirming the severe remodeling induced by Srsf3 deletion.

Case Report: A 66-year-old man, followed for 6 years for an IgA monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance and an initially cutaneous corticosteroid-dependent PG, received a pneumonectomy for a mass suspected of neoplasia, that turns out to be a PG pulmonary localisation. During successive pneumopathies, sometimes dyspneic and excavated, several hypotheses are discussed.
The azygos venous system, which comprises the azygos, hemiazygos, and accessory hemiazygos veins, assists in blood drainage into the superior vena cava (SVC) from the thoracic cage and portions of the posterior mediastinum. Routine dissection of a fresh-frozen cadaveric specimen revealed a split azygos vein. The azygos vein branched off the inferior vena cava (IVC) at the level of the second lumbar vertebra as a single trunk and then split into two tributaries after forming a venous plexus.

Methods: We retrospectively analysed the deaths that occurred in a cohort of 470 consecutive GCA patients from a centre of expertise between January 2000 and December 2019. Among the 120 patients who died, we retrieved data from the medical files of 101 patients.
Purpose: To describe characteristics and outcomes of patients with giant cell arteritis (GCA)-related aortic dissection.
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively included, through a nationwide GCA network, all patients who had an aortic dissection either revealing GCA or occurring during follow-up.
Results: A total of 46 patients were included in this study.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system; and its development seems to be partly correlated with IL-1β levels. Although these are complicated conditions that require an interdisciplinary approach to care, definitive treatment of survivable NTDs is often neurosurgical.
Methods: Using Global Burden of Disease data, we examined the global burden of NTDs as related to a nation's wealth, health care quality, and access to neurosurgical care.
This statement supplements and updates the GMO Panel guidance document on allergenicity of genetically modified (GM) plants published in 2017. Our objective is to examine the relationship between women's empowerment and elective cesarean section (ECS), focusing on Vietnam, a country where the use of CS has increased rapidly in recent decades, which raises public health concerns.
Methods: We hypothesized that in the context of the developing biomedicalization of childbirth, women's empowerment increases the use of ECS due to a woman's enhanced ability to decide her mode of delivery.
