Introduction: Low back pain can be defined as pain and/or discomfort between the coastal margins of the lowest rib and the gluteal fold, and it can cause motor dysfunction, loss of productivity, and changes in job function. There is a greater number of nursing professionals in hospital environments, and, regardless of their numerical contingent, they have the highest percentage of absenteeism due to this condition.
Objectives: To evaluate the association between perception of low back pain and occupational stress in hospital nursing professionals.

Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) can be used in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure (AHRF); however, verifying the best interface for its use needs to be evaluated in the COVID-19 pandemic scenario. The objective of this study was to evaluate the behavior of the ratio of arterial oxygen partial pressure to fractional inspired oxygen (PaO2/FiO2 ratio) in patients with AHRF with and without COVID-19 undergoing NIV with the conventional orofacial mask and the adapted diving mask. Background: Beneficial effects from non-invasive ventilation (NIV) in acute COPD are well-established, but the impact of nebulization during NIV has not been well described.
Aim: To compare pulmonary deposition and distribution across regions of interest with administration of radiolabeled aerosols generated by vibrating mesh nebulizers (VMN) and jet nebulizer (JN) during NIV.
Methods: A crossover single dose study involving 9 stable subjects with moderate to severe COPD randomly allocated to receive aerosol administration by the VMN Aerogen and the MistyNeb jet nebulizer operating with oxygen at 8 lpm during NIV.

Background: The 6-minute walk test (6MWT) is widely used in clinical practice and research. Few studies have investigated activity level as a predictor of 6-minute walk distance (6MWD), and existing predictive models do not allow for activity level.
Objectives: To evaluate if knowledge of the level of physical activity enhanced the ability to predict 6MWD, and if the inclusion of activity level added to the predictive accuracy of existing models for the 6MWT in healthy older women; and to validate existent predictive models for 6MWD in a new sample.
