The electrocatalytic oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) is a promising method for the efficient production of biomass-derived high-value-added chemicals. However, its practical application is limited by: 1) the low activity and selectivity caused by the competitive adsorption of HMF and OH and 2) the low operational stability caused by the uncontrollable reconstruction of the catalyst. To overcome these limitations, a series of Ni S /NiO -n catalysts with controllable compositions and well-defined structures are synthesized using a novel in situ controlled surface reconstruction strategy.

Therefore, it is particularly important to explore ecology-friendly, air-stable and highly active metal-halide perovskites. Herein, a new and stable lead-free perovskite Cs SnBr decorated with reduced graphene oxide (rGO), is synthesized and employed in the photocatalytic organic conversion.

Efficient and low-cost degradation of ethylene has always been a difficult problem in the storage and transportation of fruits and vegetables. Although photocatalysis is considered to be a feasible and efficient solution for ethylene degradation, the low degradation ability of conventional catalysts for small non-polar molecules limits its application. TiO has the advantage of tunable microstructure, but it also has the defects of wide band gap and low utilization of sunlight.
