Although bruxism is a common issue with a high prevalence, there has been a lack of epidemiological data about bruxism in Vietnam. This cross-sectional study aimed to determine the prevalence and associated factors of bruxism and its impact on oral health-related quality of life among Vietnamese medical students. Bruxism was assessed by the Bruxism Assessment Questionnaire.

Aim: This article described novel suggested features for the identification of fraudulent journals and aimed to explain this issue to help inexperienced scientists avoid publishing in predatory journals.
Methods: The articles related to this topic in were retrieved from PubMed and trustable Internet sources.
Background: African-American men have the lowest 5-year survival rate in the U.S. for colorectal cancer (CRC) of any racial group, which may partly stem from low screening adherence.

The pressure effects on atomic mean-square relative displacement characterizing the extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) Debye-Waller factor of iron metal have been investigated based on the Debye model. The analytical expressions of the Debye frequency and EXAFS Debye-Waller factor have been derived as functions of crystal volume compressibility. Based on the well established equation-of-state including the contributions of the anharmonic and electronic thermal pressures, numerical calculations have been performed for iron up to a pressure of 220 GPa and compared with experimental data when possible.

However, current estimates are still uncertain and do not account for diel variability of CH emissions. In this study, we performed high-resolution measurements of CH flux from several lakes, using an automated and sensor-based flux measurement approach (in total 4,580 measurements), and demonstrated a clear and consistent diel lake CH flux pattern during stratification and mixing periods.

During the first decade of the development phase, in addition to a number of achievements, the VSIR has continued to address problematic circumstances.
Aim: This article aims to describe the current status of VSIR, to introduce VSIR to other IR societies.
Introduction: The e physical anatomical characteristics of Vietnamese people are similar to those of other East Asian populations, with a deep and narrow pelvis but an average body mass index (BMI) among patients at the advanced stage of rectal cancer.
Aim: This study aimed to prospectively evaluate the short-term outcomes of transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) for rectal cancer treatment in a Vietnamese population.
Methods: A total of 64 patients who underwent TaTME were included in this study.
Introduction: Gastric cancer (GC) is the fourth most common malignant disease in the world, following breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and lung cancer. This study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of multidetector-row computed tomography (MDCT) in identifying the metastatic lymph node of GC.
Material And Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed after receiving approval by the institutional review board.
Introduction: In Vietnam, the successful publication of research in indexed journals is mandatory to obtain academic appointments and promotions in medical colleges and institutions, according to the current guidelines established by the State Council for Professorship and Ministry of Education and Training.
Aim: This study aimed to investigate the impacts of novel Vietnamese government regulations on radiological PhD and professorship candidates.
Methods: This study evaluated freely accessible data, available online, and, therefore, did not require institutional review board approval.
Background/aim: Hirayama disease, a rare neurological disorder, is characterized by progressive, asymmetric muscle atrophy of the forearm and hand in young male patients.
Case Report: We noted two cases of Hirayama disease that appeared in the right upper limb and identified the cervical neutral and flexion position magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) characteristics.
Conclusion: In the flexion posture, the cervical MRI allows early diagnosis of Hirayama disease and should be considered in patients with the typical clinical symptoms.
Background: This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic function of 3-Tesla (T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) during the assessment of brachial plexus injury (BPI), in comparison with intraoperative findings.
Methods: A retrospective study was performed on 60 patients (47 men and 13 women), who had clinical manifestations of BPI, underwent 3T MRI of the brachial plexus, and were surgically treated at the Viet Duc and Vinmec Times City hospitals, in Hanoi, Vietnam, from March 2016 to December 2019. Preganglionic and postganglionic lesion features were identified on MRI.

Background: Differentiation between cerebellar medulloblastoma and brainstem glioma is necessary for certain clinical circumstances. We aimed to evaluate the function of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) metrics in the differentiation between cerebellar medulloblastomas and brainstem gliomas in children.
Procedure: The institutional review board approved this prospective study.
Introduction: Ethmoidal dural arteriovenous fistulas (eDAVFs) are an unusual type of intracranial vascular lesion that commonly present with acute haemorrhage.
Aim: We presented 3 cases of ethmoidal DAVFs treated effectively by endovascular embolization with Onyx.
Results: 3 patients hospitalized by reasons of stroke (2 cases) and vision impairment of the right eye (1 case).
Introduction: Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a chronic condition, triggered by reflux through the saphenous vein network.
Aim: To determine the efficacy of endovenous laser ablation (LA) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for CVI treatment in the lower extremities, at the Bach Mai Radiology Center.
Methods: This retrospective study was approved by the institutional review board of Bach Mai Hospital.
Heterotrimeric G proteins are categorized into four main families based on their function and sequence, Gs, Gi/o, Gq/11, and G12/13. One receptor can couple to more than one G protein subtype, and the coupling efficiency varies depending on the GPCR-G protein pair. However, the precise mechanism underlying different coupling efficiencies is unknown.

In this work, we have synthesized a new conjugated polymer and investigated the effect of distance between bond layers, side-chain functional groups (H, Br, OH, OCH and OCH) on structural characteristics, phase transition temperature (T), and electrical structure of CHOS using Density Functional Theory (DFT). The structural characteristics were determined by the shape, network constant (a, b and c), bond length (C-C, C-H, C-O, C-S, C-Br and O-H), phase transition temperatures, and the total energy (E) on a base cell.

Methods: The levels of 4 heavy metals (Cr, Cd, Pb, and As) were evaluated in 2 water types (surface and well), 4 types of seafood (tiger shrimp, stuffed snail, snake-head fish, and catfish), and 27 types of vegetables (12 leafy vegetables, 4 pea plants, 4 tuber vegetables, and 7 herbs) that are commonly consumed in northern coastal communes located in Vietnam. Atomic absorption spectrometry was employed for quantification.
This paper describes the route, from simulations toward experiments, for optimizing the magnetoelectric (ME) geometries for vortex magnetic field sensors. The research is performed on the base of the Metglas/Piezoelectric (PZT) laminates in both open and closed magnetic circuit (OMC and CMC) geometries with different widths (), lengths (), and diameters (). Among these geometries, the CMC laminates demonstrate advantages not only in their magnetic flux distribution, but also in their sensitivity and in their independence of the position of the vortex center.
