Background: The latest evidence on health literacy in China revealed that only 8% of individuals aged 65-69 years, a segment of the geriatric population, possess adequate health literacy levels, indicating a low level in China. Studies have demonstrated that improving the organizational health literacy of healthcare institutions is a crucial approach to addressing low health literacy among older patients.
Objective: To explore the obstacles hindering the advancement of organizational health literacy in healthcare institutions in meeting the needs of older patients.
Objective: To evaluate the pedagogical skills of third-year nursing students at Yangzhou University (China).
Methods: A multisite quasi-experimental design was used in this study. Fifty-five participants were selected by convenience sampling.
Aims: Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) is known to be highly expressed in various malignancies, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). We aimed to determine the prevalence of PD-L1 expression in recurrent or metastatic HNSCC (R/M HNSCC) among Chinese patients.
Methods: This multicentre, retrospective analysis of data from six centres in China included patients with R/M HNSCC treated from 9 August 2021 to 28 February 2022.
Aggregation of two-dimensional (2D) nanosheet fillers in a polymer matrix is a prevalent problem when the filler loading is high, leading to degradation of physical and mechanical properties of the composite. To avoid aggregation, a low-weight fraction of the 2D material (<5 wt %) is usually used to fabricate the composite, limiting performance improvement. Here, we develop a mechanical interlocking strategy where well-dispersed high filling content (up to 20 wt %) of boron nitride nanosheets (BNNSs) can be incorporated into a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) matrix, resulting in a malleable, easy-to-process and reusable BNNS/PTFE composite dough.

Methods: Three English medical electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library) and 2 Chinese databases (China National Knowledge Infrastructure and Wanfang) were searched. Only randomized controlled trials related to the effects of scraping therapy on chronic LBP were included in this systematic review.
Filamin A and 14-3-3-σ are closely associated with the development of breast cancer. However, the exact relationship between them is still unknown. The present study aimed to examine the interaction of filamin A with 14-3-3-σ in the invasion and migration of breast cancer.

The violent reaction processing and required high-temperature environment involved in growing carbon onions make it difficult to obtain an insight into their evolution mechanism. By using deionized water as the medium of arc discharge, we successfully froze the synthetic reaction at intermediary stages and observed detailed structures of the obtained intermediates of carbon onions. Here we present the atomic-scale scanning transmission electron microscopy investigation of carbon onions produced by arc discharge in water.

A salt-tolerant wheat cultivar (DK961) and a salt-sensitive one (LM15) were exposed to 200 mmol/L NaCl for 3 d to study selectivity in transport of K(+) and Na(+) of the leaf sheath. Na(+) content of leaf sheath and K(+) content of leaf blade of DK961 were significantly higher than those of LM15, which led to a lower Na(+)/K(+) ratio of leaf blade of DK961 than that of LM15. These results suggested that leaf sheath of DK961 had much stronger abilities of limiting Na(+) transport and allowing K(+) transport from leaf sheath to leaf blade than that of LM15 to maintain lower Na(+)/K(+) ratio of leaf blade under NaCl stress, indicating that leaf sheath may play an important role in wheat salt tolerance.

However, a subset of lung cancer patients who are of Asian origin and carry somatic mutations in epidermal growth factor receptor or EGFR have responded remarkable well to two tyrosine kinase inhibitors, gefitinib and erlotinib. While EGFR mutation profiles have been reported from Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, there is no such report from mainland of China where the largest pool of patients reside.

However, the molecular mechanism through which nanog regulates stem cell pluripotency remains unknown. Mouse nanog encodes a polypeptide of 305 residues with a divergent homeodomain similar to those in the NK-2 family.
