Introduction: Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma with a good prognosis, but the optimal treatment for relapsed/refractory (R/R) SPTCL has been rarely discussed.

Methods: This study aims to compare the efficacy of conventional chemotherapy and chemo-free immunomodulatory regimen for R/R SPTCL. We retrospectively reviewed the patients with first relapse or primary refractory SPTCL between September 1997 and October 2020.

The subjectivity of morphological assessment and the overlapping pathological features of different subtypes of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) make accurate diagnosis challenging. To improve the pathological assessment of MPNs, we developed a diagnosis model (fusion model) based on the combination of bone marrow whole-slide images (deep learning [DL] model) and clinical parameters (clinical model). Thousand and fifty-one MPN and non-MPN patients were divided into the training, internal testing and one internal and two external validation cohorts (the combined validation cohort).

Purpose: Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare and highly heterogeneous histiocytosis. There are currently few studies examining the correlation between molecular profiling and clinical phenotype or outcomes in adult patients with LCH. The objective of this study was to characterize the genomic landscape of adult LCH and correlate molecular findings with clinical features and patient outcomes.

The optimal treatment strategy for adult Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) remains unclear. Our previous study demonstrated the remarkable efficacy of combined methotrexate and cytarabine (Ara-C) [MA] therapy in patients newly diagnosed with LCH, with a median follow-up of 2 years. The present article reports long-term follow-up data spanning a median of 78 months (6.

Idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (iMCD) is a rare and heterogeneous lymphoproliferative disorder that lacks standardised treatment options for patients with refractory or relapsed (r/r) disease. Blocking Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) has emerged as a promising therapeutic approach for iMCD without depleting B cells. This single-centre, retrospective study enrolled 10 patients with r/r iMCD who were treated with orelabrutinib, a novel, next-generation BTK inhibitor.

Article Synopsis
  • - A 54-year-old healthy Han Chinese man experienced severe symptoms including fever, anemia, and rapidly spreading painful skin nodules, which did not improve with antibiotics.
  • - Initial tests, including a skin biopsy, were inconclusive, but a bone marrow biopsy revealed a specific mutation (JAK2V617F) and a diagnosis of primary myelofibrosis (PMF) associated with nodular panniculitis (NP).
  • - After starting treatment with ruxolitinib and prednisone acetate, the patient showed significant improvement, with normalized body temperature and resolution of skin nodules and blood abnormalities.

This experiment aimed to investigate the in vitro antimicrobial activity of danofloxacin against Escherichia coli (E. coli) isolated from pigeons, as well as the pharmacokinetics of danofloxacin in pigeons following oral (PO), intramuscular (IM), and intravenous (IV) administration. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of danofloxacin was first determined for 38 clinical E.

Background And Aims: Liver involvement portends poor prognosis in adults. We aimed to characterize the clinical features, liver function tests, radiologic findings, molecular profiles, therapeutic approaches and outcomes of adults patients with Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) with liver involvement.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of all adults with LCH (≥ 18 years) seen at Peking Union Medical College Hospital (Beijing, China) between January 2001 and December 2022.

Developing ultrasensitive lateral flow immunoassays (LFIAs) has garnered significant attention in the field of point-of-care testing. In this study, a trimetallic dendritic nanozyme (Pd@Pt-Ru) was synthesized through Ru deposition on a Pd@Pt core and utilized to enhancing the sensitivity of LFIAs. Pd@Pt-Ru exhibited a value of 5.

Article Synopsis
  • The study assessed flumatinib for treating Chinese patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic-phase chronic myeloid leukemia (CP-CML) who previously failed tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs).
  • Among 336 patients, flumatinib showed high response rates, with 86.4% achieving complete hematologic response and significant cytogenetic and molecular responses, particularly in those without prior TKI resistance.
  • Adverse events were manageable and similar to first-line therapies, suggesting flumatinib is a promising option for TKI-resistant or intolerant CP-CML patients, especially those without prior resistance to second-generation TKIs.

The current study aimed to investigate the pharmacokinetics of bromhexine hydrochloride in broilers after single intravenous (IV) and oral (PO) administration at 2.5 mg/kg body weight (BW). The trial adopted a randomized, parallel-controlled design, where 20 twelve-wk-old broilers were randomly assigned to either the PO or IV group.

Refractory/relapsed idiopathic multicentric Castleman disease (R/R iMCD) has limited treatment options. With studies showing increased mTOR activation in iMCD patients, sirolimus becomes an attractive and promising therapy for R/R iMCD. Here we report the results of a retrospective study involving 26 R/R iMCD patients treated with sirolimus-containing regimen.

Article Synopsis
  • * Each breed received a single dose of gamithromycin, and tissue samples were collected at several intervals to measure drug concentration using advanced chromatography techniques.
  • * Results showed that yellow-feathered broilers retained higher levels of gamithromycin for longer periods, while the elimination rates varied by tissue type, indicating differences that may relate to tissue pigmentation.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) lacks a standardized first-line therapy. This single-center, phase 2 prospective study (NCT04121819) enrolled 61 newly diagnosed adult LCH patients with multisystem or multifocal single system disease from October 2019 to June 2022. Subcutaneous cytarabine (100 mg/m2 for 5 days) was administered in 35-day cycles for 12 total cycles.

This study aimed to investigate the in vitro antibacterial activity of danofloxacin against Escherichia coli isolated from Gushi chickens, as well as the tissue distribution and residue depletion of danofloxacin in Gushi chickens following multiple oral administration. A total of 42 clinical E. coli strains were isolated from the cloaca of locally farmed Gushi chickens between August and October 2023.

The development of nanomaterials that mimic oxidase-like activities has recently attracted an increasing amount of attention. Obtaining highly active and cost-effective oxidase mimics has posed a significant challenge in this area of research. In this study, we successfully synthesized nickel-doped ferrous disulfide nanocubes (Ni-FeS) via a facile one-step method.

Article Synopsis
  • This study examines how chitooligosaccharide (COS) and florfenicol (FLO) work together to inhibit Escherichia coli in lab tests and their interactions in healthy chickens.
  • The research includes determining the minimum concentrations needed to inhibit bacteria and investigating the pharmacokinetics of these compounds after administering them to chickens in different treatment groups.
  • Results indicate that COS enhances the effectiveness of FLO against E. coli and alters its pharmacokinetics, particularly increasing the elimination half-life of florfenicol when combined with the different COS types.

This study aimed to examine the depletion of tilmicosin residues in Gushi chickens following the administration at a concentration of 75 mg/L in their drinking water for three consecutive days. Plasma, liver, kidney, lung, muscle, and skin + fat samples were collected from 6 chickens at 6 h, 1, 3, 5, and 7 days after the treatment. Tilmicosin concentrations in the samples were determined using a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method.
