A retrospective analysis of a newly proposed imaging-etiologic classification for acute ischemic stroke with large vascular occlusion based on MRI and pathogenesis.

Background: Endovascular treatment (EVT) has emerged as the preferred initial therapeutic option for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) with large vascular occlusion (LVO). To facilitate more targeted EVT interventions, we propose a novel imaging-etiologic classification system derived from a comprehensive analysis of preoperative MRI and pathogenesis in AIS patients.

Methods: From June 2020 to December 2021, a retrospective analysis was conducted on 184 consecutive AIS patients who underwent preoperative MRI and subsequent EVT at the Henan Provincial Cerebrovascular Hospital Stroke Center.

Endovascular Aneurysm Treatment with the Numen Coil Embolization System: A Prospective Randomized Controlled Open-Label Multicenter Noninferiority Trial in China.

Objective: We investigated the safety and efficacy of the Numen coil compared with the Axium coil in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms.

Methods: Because CATCH (Coil Application Trial in China) is a prospective randomized controlled open-label noninferiority trial conducted in 10 centers across China, patients who fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomized 1:1 to either a test group (Numen) or a control group (Axium). The primary outcome was based on successful aneurysm occlusion at 6 months follow-up, whereas secondary outcomes included technical success, the recanalization and retreatment rates, and the rate of serious adverse events (SAEs) at 6 months and 12 months follow-up.

Monetary valuation of environmental goods and services is one of necessary approaches for the sustainability of environmental and resource management. However, most studies on the economic valuation of regional and national environmental contributions were directly aggregated on the basis of micro analysis while the scale hierarchies of stakeholder collectivities were ignored. Market simulation is indispensable in the procedure of environmental valuation but potential demanders and suppliers were often assumed as individuals.

Water resource problem for agriculture and food security have become one of the global focal points because of water resource scarcity. The concept of virtual water is useful to analyze and impair this problem.

Eco-environmental benefit assessment of China's South-North Water Transfer Scheme--the middle route project.

This paper assess the eco-environmental benefits that may come from the middle route project of China's South-North Water Transfer Scheme (SNWT) with principles and methods of eco-economics and planning reports of SNWT's middle route project. Some benefits were calculated in monetary units. To make sure that the results can be comparable with normal monetary indices, concrete assessment objects and the parameters are prudently selected according to the major characteristics of the project and its water import region.

[Theoretical analysis on comprehensive national power for sustainable development].

The connotation of comprehensive national power (CNP) was studied, the relationships between CNP and other related notions were comparatively analyzed, and the process for the study of CNP was reviewed. Based on the principles of sustainable development and the idea of ecosystem services, the concept of comprehensive national power for sustainable development (CNPSD) was proposed, and the main significance of CNQSD was discussed.
