There is a major public health threat posed by antibiotic resistance around the world. Tigecycline overcomes the resistance mechanisms of traditional tetracyclines and is often seen as the final resort in combating infections caused by bacteria resistant to multiple drugs. However, the introduction of new mobile tet(X) tetracycline destructases is leading to a notable rise in tigecycline resistance.

Gastric-type endocervical adenocarcinoma (G-EAC), a special subtype of cervical adenocarcinoma with non-specific symptoms and signs, is known to occur in approximately 11% of female patients with PJS.
Case Presentation: Here, we report a case of PJS in a 24-year-old female with multiple mucocutaneous black macules who complained of vaginal discharge and menorrhagia.
Introduction: Placenta previa greatly contributes to severe antenatal and post-partum hemorrhage. Previous studies have mainly focused on the risk factors of placenta previa, with very few studies reporting which factors may affect the potential resolution of 28th-week previa. This study aimed to investigate the impact of maternal characteristics on potential resolution of placenta previa from the 28th-to the 36th-week of pregnancy.

Linezolid and vancomycin are among the last-resort antimicrobial agents in the treatment of multidrug-resistant Gram-positive bacterial infections. Linezolid- and vancomycin-resistant (LVR) Gram-positive bacteria may pose severe threats to public health. In this study, three and -positive strains were isolated from two farms of different cities.

Thirty-eight percent of the isolates were linezolid-resistant and all carried the optrA gene. Among them, one isolate, SFJ44, was resistant to all 20 of the antibiotics tested, except for ceftiofur, and thus exhibited an extensively-drug-resistant phenotype.
