Here a strategy combining coordination and hydrogen bonds hierarchically to create a supercooled liquid in a core-shell coordination structure is reported, addressing that demand successfully. This new material is composed of a Mn-methylurea complex (MM) core and the hierarchically bonded erythritols shell.

Case report: Isolated eyelid metastasis of ccRCC 5 years after receiving radical nephrectomy.

Introduction: The most common sites of clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC) metastasis are the lung, bones, liver and brain; eyelid metastasis is a rare occurrence.

Case Presentation: We report a case of ccRCC metastasis to the left eyelid after radical nephrectomy, and remission after sunitinib treatment.

Conclusions: Although the probability of eyelid metastasis rate is very low, tumor metastasis to the eyelid skin is possible after radical nephrectomy.

Objective: The aim of this study is to summarize the surgical experience of renal artery cold perfusion combined with laparoscopic nephron preserving surgery for the treatment of complex renal angiomyolipoma and to evaluate the safety and feasibility of this surgical protocol.

Materials And Methods: Clinical data of nine patients who received renal artery cold perfusion combined with laparoscopic nephron preserving surgery for complex renal angiomyolipoma in our hospital from February 2017 to August 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The study parameters included imaging findings, total renal function before and after surgery, glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of affected kidney before and after surgery, and related complications.

Background: This study aims to investigate the clinical characteristics and the length of hospital stay (LOS), as well as risk factors for prolonged LOS in a cohort of asymptomatic and mild COVID-19 patients infected with the Omicron variant.

Methods: A total of 1166 COVID-19 patients discharged from the inpatient ward of the largest makeshift hospital (May 8-10, 2022) in Shanghai, China, were included. The demographics, medical history, and the lowest and admission cycle threshold (Ct) values of the RT-PCR tests for SARS-CoV-2 genes of the open reading frame 1ab (Ct-ORF) and the nucleocapsid protein (Ct-N) during hospitalization were recorded.

First-principles investigation on the electronic structures of CdSe S and simulation of CdTe solar cell with a CdSe S window layer by SCAPS.

The short-circuit current density ( ) of CdTe solar cells both in the short and long wavelength regions can be effectively enhanced by using CdS/CdSe as the composite window layer. CdS/CdSe composite layers would interdiffuse to form the CdSe S ternary layer during the high temperature deposition process of CdTe films. In this paper, the electronic properties of CdSe S (0 ≤ ≤ 1) ternary alloys are investigated by first-principles calculation based on the density functional theory (DFT) and the performance of CdS/CdSe/CdTe devices are modeled by SCAPS to reveal why CdS/CdSe complex layers have good effects.

Heterogeneous 2D/3D Tin-Halides Perovskite Solar Cells with Certified Conversion Efficiency Breaking 14.

As the most promising lead-free one, tin-halides based perovskite solar cells still suffer from the severe bulk-defect due to the easy oxidation of tin from divalent to tetravalent. Here, a general and effective strategy is delivered to modulate the microstructure of 2D/3D heterogeneous tin-perovskite absorber films by substituting FAI with FPEABr in FASnI . The introduction of 2D phase can induce highly oriented growth of 3D FASnI and it is revealed in the optimal 2D/3D film that 2D phase embraces 3D grains and locates at the surfaces and grain boundaries.

Analysis and Risk Assessment of Organic Pollutants in Surface Water from Xujiahe Basin, China.

In this study, organic compounds were screened in surface water collected from Xujiahe basin, China by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A total of 51 compounds were identified including 14 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), 9 organophosphorus pesticides (OPs), 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and 12 chlorobenzene (CBs). The concentrations of OCPs, PAHs and CBs were generally low.

Graphene Quantum Dots with High Yield and High Quality Synthesized from Low Cost Precursor of Aphanitic Graphite.

It is difficult to keep the balance of high quality and high yield for graphene quantum dots (GQDs). Because the quality is uncontrollable during cutting large 2D nanosheets to small 0D nanodots by top-down methods and the yield is low for GQDs with high quality obtained from bottom-up strategy. Here, aphanitic graphite (AG), a low-cost graphite contains a large amount of small graphite nanocrystals with size of about 10 nm is used as the precursor of graphene oxide quantum dots (GO-QDs) for the first time.

A Theoretical Study on Laser Cooling Feasibility of Group IVA Hydrides XH (X = Si, Ge, Sn, and Pb): The Role of Electronic State Crossing.

The feasibility of direct laser cooling of SiH, GeH, SnH, and PbH is investigated and assessed based upon first principles. The internally contracted multi-reference configuration interaction method with the Davidson correction is applied. Very good agreement is obtained between our computed spectroscopic constants and the available experimental data.

Improved Drought Monitoring Index Using GNSS-Derived Precipitable Water Vapor over the Loess Plateau Area.

Standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI) is an acknowledged drought monitoring index, and the evapotranspiration (ET) used to calculated SPEI is obtained based on the Thornthwaite (TH) model. However, the SPEI calculated based on the TH model is overestimated globally, whereas the more accurate ET derived from the Penman-Monteith (PM) model recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is unavailable due to the lack of a large amount of meteorological data at most places. Therefore, how to improve the accuracy of ET calculated by the TH model becomes the focus of this study.
