Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a usual oral cancer. Therefore, it's essential to identify targets for its early diagnosis and therapy. This research aimed to explore the roles of human β-defensin-3 (hBD-3) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) p65 in the pathogenesis and progression of OSCC.

lncRNA DLEU2 Accelerates Oral Cancer Progression via miR-30a-5p/RAP1B Axis to Regulate p38 MAPK Signaling Pathway.

Background: Oral cancer (OC) is common cancer in the world. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to be involved in cancer regulation, including oral cancer (OC). The aim of this study was to investigate the role of lncRNA deleted in lymphocytic leukemia 2 (DLEU2) in oral cancer.

[Methods and effects of injection of salvianolic acid B combined with triamcinolone acetonide in the treatment of oral submucous fibrosis].

Purpose: To introduce the methods of triamcinolone acetonide (TA) and salvianolic acid B(SA-B) intralesional injection in the treatment of oral submucous fibrosis and evaluate the treatment effects.

Methods: TA combined with SA-B were consecutively applied intralesionally 1 time weekly for 30 times. The technique of intralesional injection was that syringe needle be emptied into submucous tissues 1 cm posterior to the corner of oral cavity running from the front to retromolar area by pushing the injection, then the syringe needle retained to the original point and upward from the front to retromolar area by pushing the injection, finally the syringe needle returned to the starting point and downward from the front to retromolar area by pushing the injection.

[Epidemiological investigation of chewing fresh or dried betel nut and oral mucosal disease].

Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effect of chewing fresh or dried betel nut on the inci-dence and canceration of oral mucosa disease in Haikou City in Hainan Province.

Methods: Through a survey questionnaire, clinical examination, and regular follow-up, we collected clinical data from 1 722 cases and divided them into two groups, among which 704 of the afflicted people chew dried betel nut, whereas the other 1 018 chew fresh betel nut. The data were 
statistically analyzed using different variables which included age, number, time of onset of the disease, and the cancerous condition associated with common oral mucosa disease, including oral submucous fibrosis (OSF), oral leukoplakia (OLK), and oral Lichen planus (OLP).

Methods: Cylinder mold was prepared, and the resin was filled strictly into the mold. The surface was flattened and then cured with plastic engraver's knife.
