Medial and Lateral Combined Ligament Arthroscopic Repair for Multidirectional Ankle Instability.

Background: The high prevalence of ankle sprains in the population produces a significant number of patients with lateral instability. Persistence of this condition may lead to the progressive involvement of medial structures, causing a multidirectional rotational instability.

Methods: This is a retrospective study with patients diagnosed with multidirectional instability who underwent ankle arthroscopy with medial (arthroscopic tensioning) and lateral repair (arthroscopic Bröstrom) between January 2018 and January 2020.

Deltoid ligament arthroscopic repair in ankle fractures: Case series.

Trevor disease or hemimelic epiphyseal dysplasia is a rare skeletal developmental disorder characterized by asymmetric overgrowth of cartilage in the epiphyses. Histologically, it is an epiphysis osteochondroma. The symptom onset occurs primarily during childhood.

Second MTP joint instability: grading of the deformity and description of surgical repair of capsular insufficiency.

A crossover second toe is a commonly seen forefoot problem, usually occurring in women aged > 50 years, and often in association with a bunion deformity. The plantar plate is the principal static stabilizer of the second metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint. Different authors have proposed classifications to define instability of the second MTP joint, but only describe clinical progression of the deformity.

Objective: To evaluate the prevalence and type of dysesthesia around the incision used to obtain the patellar tendon for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery.

Methods: Out of a population of 1368 ACL reconstructions using the central third of the patellar tendon, 102 patients (111 knees) were evaluated by means of telephone interview.

Results: The mean follow-up was 52 months (ranging from 12 to 88 months).
