Workplace sexual harassment (WSH) and other forms of sexual violence are pervasive in the agricultural sector, yet remain overlooked as critical occupational health and safety concerns. In this scoping review, the social-ecological model was used as a framework to examine contributing and protective factors in the literature that inform WSH interventions, policy, and research. Using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocols, the authors searched eight databases using Boolean terms related to "sexual harassment" and "agriculture.

A lack of safe and attainable childcare has been a challenge for farmworker parents since before the Covid-19 pandemic and is of particular concern during wildfire season when parents must weigh the risks and benefits of leaving children at home, taking them to work, or sending them to childcare. This study describes how stressors of balancing childcare, work, and concerns about children's exposure to smoke during wildfire season impact the wellbeing and workplace absenteeism and presenteeism for farmworker parents.

Objectives: To establish a benchmark pooled prevalence of anxiety and depression in CM, to provide magnitudes of association for clinical, therapeutic and demographic correlates, and to elucidate temporal trends in anxiety and depression from the time of diagnosis.
Currently, there is a lack of nonvolatile memory (NVM) technology that can operate continuously at temperatures > 200 °C. While ferroelectric NVM has previously demonstrated long polarization retention and >1013 read/write cycles at room temperature, the largest hurdle comes at higher temperatures for conventional perovskite ferroelectrics. Here, we demonstrate how AlScN can enable high-temperature (>200 °C) nonvolatile memory.

Guidance suggests that all correspondence should be directed to patients. Covid-19 led to an increase in direct-to-patient communication.

Private well users must conduct water testing and other well stewardship behaviors to ensure that their well water is safe to drink. This study sought to identify the key factors impacting private well water testing behavior in rural, agricultural Latino communities.

Written feedback is the most common way of providing feedback yet this has been criticised by students for its ineffectiveness. Given the wide range of feedback modes available, (written, audio, video, screencast, face-to-face, self and peer-feedback) a better understanding of student and lecturer preferences would facilitate recommendations for optimising feedback delivery.

Methods: At baseline, subjects completed a computerized questionnaire. Structured interviews were conducted by residents or certified therapists under the direction of board-certified physicians.
Investigations of the impact of solid residence time (SRT) on microbial ecology and performance of enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) process in full-scale systems have been scarce due to the challenges in isolating and examining the SRT from other complex plant-specific factors. This study performed a comprehensive evaluation of the influence of SRT on polyphosphate-accumulating organisms (PAOs) and glycogen-accumulating organisms (GAOs) dynamics and on P removal performance at Clark County Water Reclamation District Facility in Las Vegas, USA. Five parallel treatment trains with separated clarifiers were operated with five different SRTs ranging from 6 to 40 days.

Methods: One thousand three hundred thirty study eyes undergoing Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty for Fuchs dystrophy or pseudophakic/aphakic corneal edema were randomized to receive a donor cornea with preservation time (PT) of 0 to 7 days (N = 675) or 8 to 14 days (N = 655). Donor factors included demographics, prelamellar corneal and postlamellar lenticule dissection thickness, central endothelial cell density, and tissue processing time.
Purpose: To determine whether preoperative endothelial cell density (ECD) and postoperative ECD after Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK) are associated with late endothelial graft failure (LEGF) in the Cornea Preservation Time Study (CPTS).
Design: Cohort study within a multicenter, randomized clinical trial.
Participants: A total of 1007 individuals (1223 study eyes), mean age 70 years, undergoing DSAEK for Fuchs' dystrophy (94% of eyes) or pseudophakic or aphakic corneal edema (PACE) (6% of eyes) and followed for up to 5 years.
Objective: To quantify sensitivity and specificity of the tender points and demonstrate how variability in case definition impacts prevalence of lateral epicondylitis (LE).
Methods: Baseline data analyzed from 1216 workers from the WISTAH study, a multicenter prospective cohort study of upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders. All workers completed computerized questionnaires, structured interviews, and two independent physical examinations in accordance with an established protocol.
Introduction: Diagnostic screening tests for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) have not been rigorously assessed in large populations.
Methods: This study is a cross-sectional analysis from a prospective cohort study. Participants' (n = 1,194) symptoms and disease prevalence were measured.
: High patient satisfaction is a desirable goal in medical care. Patient satisfaction measures are increasingly used to evaluate and improve quality in all types of medical practices. However, the unique aspects of occupational and environmental medicine (OEM) practice require development of OEM-specific measures and thoughtful interpretation of results.

Using genetic data from four populations of the flour beetle , we show that most populations harbor genetic variants in Cas9 target sites, some of which would render them immune to drive (ITD). We show that even a rare ITD allele can reduce or eliminate the efficacy of a CRISPR/Cas9-based synthetic gene drive.

Methods: Baseline data of a multicenter prospective cohort study were analyzed. CTS was defined by nerve conduction study (NCS) criteria and symptoms.
Objective: Recent evidence has found potential associations between cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and common musculoskeletal disorders. We evaluated possible associations between risk factors and both glenohumeral joint pain and rotator cuff tendinopathy.
Methods: Data from WISTAH hand study participants (n = 1226) were assessed for associations between Framingham Heart Study CVD risk factors and both health outcomes.
We investigated the environmental conditions that induce a flight response in the red flour beetle, Herbst (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae), including resource quality, temperature, relative humidity, and light. Over 72-h trial periods, we observed the proportion of individuals emigrating by flight to range from 0.0 in extreme heat or cold to 0.

Methods: Analysis of pooled baseline data from two large prospective cohort studies (n = 1824) assessed the relationships between a modified Framingham Heart Study CVD risk score both CTS and abnormal nerve conduction study prevalence. Quantified job exposures, personal and psychosocial confounders were statistically controlled.
Objective: To correlate corneal endothelium-Descemet membrane (EDM) layer parameters of scroll tightness with donor age, endothelial cell density (ECD), and history of diabetes.
Methods: Endothelium-Descemet membrane layer scrolls were harvested from 26 corneoscleral buttons using the SCUBA technique by a cornea-fellowship trained ophthalmologist masked to donor age. Two independent outcome parameters were used to characterize the scrolling severity of successfully harvested tissue: scroll width and tendency for EDM scroll formation (referred to as scroll rating on a 1-4 scale: incomplete scroll formation to tightly scrolled).
The formation of hybrids among closely related species has been observed in numerous plant taxa. Selection by pollinators on floral traits can act as an early reproductive isolating barrier and may be especially important when there is overlap in distribution and flowering time. In this study, we use Quantitative Trait Locus (QTL) mapping based on 293 codominant SNP markers in an F2 population (n = 328) to assess the size, magnitude, and location of the genetic regions controlling floral traits known to be important for pollinator attraction in 2 species of Lousiana Irises, Iris fulva and Iris hexagona.

While complete reciprocal hybrid inviability is the outcome of the gradual process of local adaptation, it is not representative of the process of accumulation of incompatibility. In the flour beetle, Tribolium castaneum, some pairs of populations exhibit complete, reciprocal F1 hybrid incompatibility while other pairs are fully or partially compatible.
