Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of low-dose aspirin (LDA) in the prevention of pre-eclampsia (PE) among otherwise low-risk twin gestations.
Methods: A historical cohort study consisting of all pregnant individuals with dichorionic diamniotic (DCDA) twin pregnancy who delivered between 2014 and 2020. Patients treated with LDA were matched by a 1:4 ratio to individuals who were not treated with LDA by age, body mass index and parity.
Background: Bronchiolitis is a prominent illness in children with a high burden in the developing world. Our objective was to assess bronchiolitis severity among infants and toddlers of refugees and asylum seekers who fled from developing countries with high disease burden to a developed country.
Study Design: A retrospective cohort comparative-group study of children 0-24 months of age who were admitted with a diagnosis of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) bronchiolitis to a tertiary university-affiliated medical center during 2009-2017.
Color vision deficiency has been associated with educational difficulties among male children, as well as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). We examined the association of color vision deficiency with functional conditions, including ADHD, irritable bowel syndrome, enuresis and somatoform disorders, in a large population of male adolescents. We included all Israeli male adolescents that underwent medical and cognitive examinations during conscription between the years 2007 and 2013.
