Objectives: To investigate the effect of metformin on endometrial receptivity in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Methods: Twenty volunteer women with polycystic ovaries and oligomenorrhea were prospectively investigated. All women were treated with exogenous estradiol and progesterone to simulate a normal menstrual cycle (28-day duration) after GnRH-induced pituitary desensitization.

Objective: To estimate the incidence of intrauterine adhesions after open myomectomy.
Study Design: A prospective audit descriptive study was conducted involving thirty-six women who had undergone open myomectomy for symptomatic fibroids at a large undergraduate teaching hospital. A follow-up out-patient hysteroscopy was performed three months after surgery.
Background: Although several randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have examined the effect of misoprostol prior to hysteroscopy for cervical dilatation, no solid conclusion has been reached. We therefore set out to perform a meta-analysis of RCTs.
Methods: We searched MEDLINE, the ISI Web of Science and the Cochrane Library to identify RCTs comparing misoprostol versus placebo or control prior to hysteroscopy.
