Catharanthus roseus leaves have been traditionally described to possess potent antidiabetic activity and some leaf-specific alkaloids, including vindoline, have been studied for their antidiabetic potential. The aim of the present study was to validate the antidiabetic property of the plant with special reference to vindoline. An Ayurveda-based method was used to prepare the Swaras [leaf juice extract (LJE)] of three familial C.

Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective study conducted at Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Etawah, India, from September 2023 to February 2024.
Purpose To evaluate the performance of a high-dynamic-range quantitative susceptibility mapping (HDR-QSM) cardiac MRI technique to detect intramyocardial hemorrhage (IMH) and quantify iron content using phantom and canine models. Materials and Methods A free-running whole-heart HDR-QSM technique for IMH assessment was developed and evaluated in calibrated iron phantoms and 14 IMH female canine models. IMH detection and iron content quantification performance of this technique was compared with the conventional iron imaging approaches, R2*(1/T2*) maps, using measurements from ex vivo imaging as the reference standard.

Major MutT proteins hydrolyze 8-oxo-(d)GTP (8-oxo-GTP or 8-oxo-dGTP) to the corresponding 8-oxo-(d)GMP, preventing their incorporation into nucleic acids. Mycobacterial MutT1 comprises an N-terminal domain (NTD) harboring the Nudix box motif, and a C-terminal domain (CTD) harboring the RHG histidine phosphatase motif.

This case report describes a 41-year-old woman with chronic anemia, acute chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and rheumatoid arthritis who developed RCVS following transfusion of packed red blood cells (PRBCs). She experienced sudden-onset seizures and a thunderclap headache 5 days post-transfusion.

In this study, we demonstrate that an optical vortex beam, generated by a spatial light modulator, can trap, circulate, and rotate liquid crystal microdroplets of various sizes at different positions within the beam. Our findings indicate that larger microdroplets are trapped at intensity minima without altering their internal liquid crystal orientation, which is fluid by nature, and the rotation of microdroplets were observed.

One of the primary obstacles the field faces is the live detection and differentiation of individual units through a complex environment. In this study, we demonstrate a facile approach for designing light-activated dye-tagged micromotors on a large scale.

However, the exact mechanism of these toxicities has still not been fully deciphered. Additionally, studies have reported the toxicological effects at far low doses to the generally considered no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) dose.

We compared serum levels of CysC, C-reactive protein (CRP), and creatinine before and after ESWL. The study results may have implications for early detection of AKI and prevention of progression to chronic kidney disease.

In India and the Southeast Asian population, hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) are the leading lifestyle-related diseases, responsible for a majority burden of morbidity and mortality. Multiple population-spanning studies have revealed the staggering prevalence of both diseases in India, and the prevalence of both will only increase further due to factors such as an aging population, rapid urbanization, increased obesity, and sedentary lifestyles. More than 50 percent of hypertensive patients in India are also diagnosed with T2DM, and a detailed management protocol for the same is required, especially when a major portion of the disease is managed at the primary care level.
