Tissue-resident memory (T) T cells have emerged as key players in cancer immunosurveillance, and their presence has been linked to a favorable clinical outcome in solid cancer patients. Liver metastases exhibit a highly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, however, the role and clinical impact of T cell infiltration in colorectal cancer remain elusive. The expression of several tissue residency and activation biomarkers has been investigated on tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes isolated from 26 patients' colorectal cancer liver metastases (CRC liver metastases) and compared to 16 peripheral blood samples of patients with CRC liver metastases.

This study investigated the long-term outcomes of patients with CPR in a multicenter setting to identify prognostic factors for overall survival (OS) and recurrence-free survival (RFS).
Methods: This retrospective cohort study examined biopsy-proven pancreatic adenocarcinomas with CPR after neoadjuvant chemotherapy or chemoradiotherapy and surgery, between January 2006 and December 2023 across 22 French and 2 Belgian centers.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether dual-energy computed tomography (DECT), specifically by measuring bowel wall iodine concentration (BWIC), is superior to monoenergetic reconstructions (MR) for the diagnosis and staging of small bowel ischemia in patients with mechanical small bowel obstruction (SBO).
Materials And Methods: From November 2021 to December 2023, all patients with mechanical SBO who underwent contrast-enhanced DECT of the abdomen and pelvis were evaluated for inclusion. Demographic, clinical and biochemical data were collected.
Introduction: This report with a video describes a laparoscopic central pancreatectomy with modified Blumgart pancreatojejunostomy for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor.
Patients And Methods: A 71-year-old woman presented with a single 17 mm lesion in the pancreatic neck, responsible for dilatation of the main pancreatic duct. Cancer staging showed no additional location.
Introduction: After total thyroidectomy (TT), postoperative hypoparathyroidism (PH) is the most frequent complication. Yet, management strategies for PH remain disputed. The aim of this study was to evaluate outcomes of a reactive supplementation in case of symptomatic PH.

Materials And Methods: From January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2021, 226 consecutive patients who presented with PI on abdominal CT from any bowel segment were included. Variables at the time of the CT were retrospectively extracted from medical charts.
Background: HER2-targeted therapies have recently emerged as an option in the management of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) overexpressing HER2. However, data regarding HER2 status in primary CRC and its corresponding liver metastases are limited, potentially influencing clinical decisions. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the HER2 status in primary CRC and paired liver metastases.

Methods: All adult patients who received a first LT between 2007 and 2017 were included in this cross-sectional study.
Background: Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile ducts (IPNB) is a rare disease in Western countries. The aim of this study was to compare tumor characteristics, management strategies, and outcomes between Western and Eastern patients who underwent surgical resection for IPNB.
Methods: A multi-institutional retrospective series of patients with IPNB undergoing surgery between January 2010 and December 2020 was gathered under the auspices of the European-African Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (E-AHPBA), and at Nagoya University Hospital, Japan.
Background: In response to the pandemic, the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA) developed the IHPBA-COVID Registry to capture data on HPB surgery outcomes in COVID-positive patients prior to mass vaccination programs. The aim was to provide a tool to help members gain a better understanding of the impact of COVID-19 on patient outcomes following HPB surgery worldwide.
Methods: An online registry updated in real time was disseminated to all IHPBA, E-AHPBA, A-HPBA and A-PHPBA members to assess the effects of the pandemic on the outcomes of HPB procedures, perioperative COVID-19 management and other aspects of surgical care.
Near-stoichiometric amounts of O and O were generated from endoperoxides in a two-chamber glassware to oxidize various substrates. This strategy gave [*O]endoperoxides, [*O]quinones, [*O]phenols, and [*O]artemisin in moderate to good yields and high isotopic enrichments (up to 84%) at affordable costs. Moreover, mass spectrometry and O NMR of the [*O]products provided valuable information about the chemical mechanisms involved.

Methods: All consecutive patients who underwent Ivor Lewis esophagectomy for cancer between 2012 and 2019 in 2 referral centers were included.
Background: Liver resection and local ablation are the only curative treatment for non-cirrhotic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Few data exist concerning the prognosis of patients resected for non-cirrhotic HCC. The objectives of this study were to determine the prognostic factors of recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS) and to develop a prognostication algorithm for non-cirrhotic HCC.

In this study, we aimed to assess the prognostic value of CD226 in tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) derived from colorectal cancer (CRC) liver metastases treated with chemotherapy and radical surgery. TILs from 43 metastases were isolated and analyzed ex vivo using flow cytometry.

Alongside to the known risk factors for NOMI, the role of atherosclerosis is not fully elucidated. The purpose of our study was to evaluate whether abdominal atherosclerosis is a risk factor for NOMI.

Methods: All liver grafts from brain-dead donors with RLT proposed for LT between 2010 and 2018 were identified from the nationwide CRISTAL registry of the Biomedicine Agency.
Background: The modulation of perioperative inflammation seems crucial to improve postoperative morbidity and cancer-related outcomes in patients undergoing oncological surgery. Data from the literature suggest that perioperative corticosteroids decrease inflammatory markers and might be associated with fewer complications in esophageal, liver, pancreatic and colorectal surgery. Their benefit on cancer-related outcomes has not been assessed.
