Nursing staff members' physical and mental health, particularly their depression, is far from ideal, and this ill health is directly correlated with the frequency of self-reported medical errors.

From that time onward, all governments took specific measures to minimize virus outspread. Human beings faced several challenges in each aspect of life mainly the more vulnerable ones, such as parents with sick children who encountered not only with hospitalization but also with the negative effects posed by pandemic.

Introduction: Cardiovascular disease remains a major cause of morbidity and premature mortality worldwide. The aim of the present study was to investigate the association of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk estimator with depression in women undergoing cardiological evaluation.

Material And Method: Three hundred women undergoing cardiological evaluation completed the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (ZSDS) questionnaire which included women's characteristics.

The purpose of this study was to explore anxiety/depression in parents of children who underwent HSCT and the associated self-reported characteristics.

Assessing the Respect of Children's Rights in Pediatric Hospitals.

: In 1989, the United Nations (UN) General Assembly adopted the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), with a considerable number of the Articles of the Convention being related to the health status of children. Therefore, adhering to and assessing the implementation of the rights of children during hospitalization is a very important step towards child protection. Herein, we attempt to highlight the depth of knowledge of employees working in children's hospitals with regard to children's rights as well as the degree of adherence to the UNCRC with respect to hospitalized children.

Introduction: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a non-surgical invasive procedure to treat coronary artery occlusion. The quality of life (QoL) is a way to measure the impact of illness and additionally its treatments to traditional measures of clinical outcomes.

Purpose: The aim of the present study was to explore the levels of QoL pre-PCI, 6 and 12 months after PCI, as well as the factors associated with the QoL pre-PCI.

Background: Paediatric ICU doctors and nurses' quality of professional life is influenced by the intense emotions and distress experienced when caring for suffering children and their families.

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the prevalence of compassion satisfaction (CS) and compassion fatigue (CF) in Paediatric Intensive Care Units in Greece.

Methods: Out of 147 intensive care professionals in public hospitals in Greece completed the ProQOL-V scale as well as a socio-demographic and professional-life characteristics questionnaire.

Several factors are held to be responsible for the high prevalence of depression in prison: mainly poor living conditions (narrow room, loss of privacy), limited interpersonal relationships, and lack of mental health access.

Background and Objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic is a serious global health problem. Vaccination is suggested to be one of the most efficacious precautionary measures, in combination with other protective behaviors. The purpose of this study was to explore the association of students’ intention to get vaccinated about COVID-19 with protection behaviors and perceptions about the pandemic.

Background: Errors are common among all healthcare settings. The safety of patients is linked directly with nursing errors because nurses stand by them more often than any other healthcare professional. The role of mental and physical health of nurses is of great interest for a good and efficient job performance, but also for maintaining good patient care delivery.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, one hundred (n=100) patients on hemodialysis from one hemodialysis center in Greece participated.

Researching Nursing Students' Attitudes toward Mental Health Practice: Cultural Adaptation and Validation of the Greek Version of the Acceptability of Locking the Door Questionnaire in Acute Psychiatric Care.

The present article describes the cultural adaptation and validation of the Greek version of the Acceptability of Locking the Door Questionnaire and aims to determine students' preference regarding mental health nursing as a possible career choice. The linguistic adaptation of the original instrument was performed according to the most recent guidelines and it was then administered to 274 third-year nursing students. Results support the validity and reliability of the instrument, which can be used to assess effectively the attitudes of the intended population.

Quality of Life and Self-care Activities in Diabetic Ulcer Patients, Grade 3: Gender Differences.

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a common complication of diabetes mellitus associated with increased morbidity and mortality and diminished quality of life (QoL). This study aimed to explore the effect of gender differences on QoL and adherence to self-care activities. In this cross-sectional study, we enrolled 135 male and 135 female patients with DFU.

Investigating the Six-Month Incidence Rate of Burn Disease in Children in Greece.

Introduction Burns in children are painful, can be fatal, and involve a significant risk of complications, along with physical and psychological consequences. This study aimed to investigate the incidence of burns in children, for six months, and the most common causative factors, along with the existing correlations between demographic data and the characteristics of burn injuries. Methods The study was descriptive and prospective, and the sample consisted of minors up to 14 years old with burns in any areas of the body.

Locked versus open ward environments and restrictive measures in acute psychiatry in Greece: Nursing students' attitudes and experiences.

Purpose: To examine student nurses' attitudes and experiences of door policies and restrictive measures in acute psychiatric care.

Methods: A mixed-method study with 274 third-year students.

Results: Participants' attitudes towards door locking and other containment measures appeared to be more a matter of custom, practice and tradition at particular units.

Introduction: Heart failure (HF) is a major global health problem associated with increased morbidity and mortality and reduced quality of life (QoL). The aim of the study was to assess the impact of anxiety, fatigue and adherence to therapeutic guidelines on HF patients' QoL.

Material And Methods: A hundred and twenty hospitalized HF patients were enrolled in the study.

Depression in diabetic foot ulcer: Associated factors and the impact of perceived social support and anxiety on depression.

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) exerts a heavy physical and emotional burden on patients with diabetes mellitus. The purpose of the present study was to explore the impact of anxiety and perceived social support on depression of DFU patients well as patients' characteristics associated with depression. The sample of the study consisted of 180 DFU patients.

Parent's adherence to children's home-accident preventive measures.

Aim: To investigate parents' knowledge and practice of preventive measures concerning children's home accidents, as well as the factors affecting adherence.

Background: Injuries at home constitute the majority of accidental injuries in children aged <6 years old, sometimes with devastating consequences for the child's well-being. Research has concentrated on locating the risk factors and on evaluating the effectiveness of the injury-prevention programmes, but only a few studies have focused on parental knowledge and the application of preventive measures and on how the basic risk factors correlate with parental adherence.
