In the title compound, [Fe(C(5)H(5))(C(15)H(14)N(2))]I·H(2)O, the benzene and imidazolium rings are twisted by 17.26 (17) and 32.53 (19)°, respectively, with respect to the η(5)-C(5)H(4) plane of the ferrocenyl unit.
