Background: A better understanding of the molecular mechanisms that manifest in the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) is crucial for developing more efficacious immunotherapies for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), which has a poor response to current immunotherapies. Regulatory T (Treg) cells are key mediators of HCC-associated immunosuppression. We investigated the selective mechanism exploited by HCC that lead to Treg cells expansion and to find more efficacious immunotherapies.

Here, using first-principles calculations, we report the identification of promising valley-contrasting physics in single-layer CrSiN and CrSiP. Single-layer CrSiN and CrSiP are semiconductors with a direct band gap locating at the K/K' point, which forms a pair of degenerate but nonequivalent valleys in both the conduction and valence bands.

This algorithm can improve outcomes and expand discussion, research, and collaboration.

Background: Risk assessment, prevention, and prompt management of no-reflow in urgent PCI are crucial but remain challenging. SYNTAX score emerged as a tool for prediction, but may contain redundant information.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to: 1) assess the relationship of different thresholds of creatine kinase-myocardial band (CK-MB) and cardiac troponin with subsequent mortality; and 2) evaluate the prognostic significance of periprocedural myocardial infarction (PMI) according to various definitions of myocardial infarction in patients with left main (LM) coronary artery disease.
Background: The magnitude of postprocedural biomarker elevation representing a clinically meaningful PMI after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is controversial.
Methods: A total of 4,013 consecutive patients undergoing LM PCI at a single center from January 2004 to December 2016 were enrolled.
Panic buying is a globally witnessed behavior during the outbreak of COVID-19. This consumer behavior is related to many undesirable consequences, ranging from disrupting economic stability to hindering timely provision of supplies to those in dire need. As such, to understand the causes and underlying mechanisms of panic buying is crucial.

A total of 1171 (582 male, 589 female) Chinese adolescents completed self-reported questionnaires that assessed peer attachment, regulatory emotional self-efficacy, and aggressive behavior. Path analysis showed that the negative association between peer attachment and adolescent aggressive behavior was mediated by self-efficacy in managing negative emotions.

Aims: We sought to investigate the prevalence and prognostic implications of achieving physiology-consistent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) according to the baseline angiographic QFR in an all-comers cohort.
Methods: QFR was retrospectively analysed from the angiograms of 1,391 patients enrolled in the randomised PANDA III trial.
Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)-related hepatocellular carcinoma and liver disorders have become the leading causes for the need of liver transplantation in developed countries. Lipotoxicity plays a central role in NASH progression by causing endoplasmic reticulum stress and disrupting protein homeostasis. To identify key molecules that mitigate the detrimental consequences of lipotoxicity, we performed integrative multiomics analysis and identified the E3 ligase tripartite motif 16 (TRIM16) as a candidate molecule.

This study presents a novel intercalated structure of a metallic BRS by introducing a nanoscale Zn sacrificial layer between the nitrided Fe platform and the sirolimus-carrying poly(d,l-lactide) drug coating. The PDLLA-Zn-FeN BRS shows a multistage biodegradation behavior, maintaining mechanical integrity at the initial stage and exhibiting accelerated biodegradation at the subsequent stage in both rabbit abdominal aortas and human coronary arteries, where complete biodegradation was observed about 2 years after implantation.

Objectives: To determine the association of extended-term (>12-month) versus short-term dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) with ischemic and hemorrhagic events in high-risk "TWILIGHT-like" patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in clinical practice.
Background: Recent emphasis on shorter DAPT regimen after PCI irrespective of indication for PCI may fail to account for the substantial residual risk of recurrent atherothrombotic events in ACS patients.
Methods: All consecutive patients fulfilling the "TWILIGHT-like" criteria undergoing PCI were identified from the prospective Fuwai PCI Registry.
Background: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with unprotected left main coronary artery disease (ULMCAD) is increasing strategy in coronary artery patients. However, there is a lack of knowledge on the impact of sex on outcomes of patients undergoing ULMCAD PCI.
Methods: From January 2004 to December 2015, there were 3,960 patients undergoing ULMCAD PCI at our institution, including 3,121 (78.

Dysfunctional autophagy often occurs during the development of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and Alzheimer's disease. The purinergic P2X4 receptor is an ATP-gated ion channel that is widely expressed in the microglia, astrocytes, and neurons of the central and peripheral nervous systems. P2X4R is involved in the regulation of cellular excitability, synaptic transmission, and neuroinflammation.

Methods: According to the screening of coronary angiography and quality control of blood samples, eight intermediate coronary lesion patients were selected, then eight patients with acute myocardial infarction, and eight patients with normal coronary angiography were matched by age and gender. Transcriptomics sequencing was conducted for the peripheral blood monocytes of these 24 samples by using the Illumina HiSeq high-throughput platform.
Objectives: We aimed to explore the impact of 7-Fr sheaths on the incidence of early radial artery occlusion (RAO) after transradial coronary intervention (TRI) in Chinese patients.
Background: RAO precludes future use of the vessel for vascular access. Transradial catheterization is usually performed via 5-Fr or 6-Fr catheters; 7-Fr sheath insertion enables complex coronary interventions but may increase the RAO risk.
Aims: The ESC/EACTS myocardial revascularization guidelines recently standardized the definition of patients at high ischemic risk (HIR). However, the ability of ESC/EACTS-HIR criteria to stratify ischemic and bleeding risk in a contemporary real-world East Asian cohort remains unexplored.
Methods: A total of 10,167 consecutive patients undergoing PCI from prospective Fuwai PCI Registry (January 2013 to December 2013) were reviewed.
We aimed to investigate the impact of target vessel on clinical outcomes in chronic total occlusion (CTO) revascularization versus no CTO revascularization. This multicenter, retrospective, cohort study involves patients with ≥1 CTO. After classification based on different CTO target vessels or multiple CTOs, patients were further categorized as the CTO revascularization group and the no CTO revascularization group based on treatment received.
