In order to elucidate whether deep freezing could maintain the quality of snowflake beef, three different deep freezing temperatures (-18 °C, -40 °C, and -60 °C) were used in order to evaluate the changes in tissue structures, quality characteristics and spoilage indexes, and their comparative effects on the quality of snowflake beef. Compared to samples frozen at -18 °C, those stored at -40 °C and -60 °C took a shorter time to exceed the maximum ice crystallization zone (significantly reduced by 2-6 h). In terms of short-term storage, samples frozen at -40 °C and -60 °C had better tissue structure and lower drip loss rate than those frozen at -18 °C; significant differences between groups in drip loss were observed between -18 °C and -60 °C.

Methods: Between September 2019 and November 2019, stool samples from 14 children with MPP from The Fourth Hospital of Baotou city, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, were collected and divided into general treatment (AF) and probiotic (AFY) groups, according to the treatment of "combined and tablets live". High-throughput sequencing was used to identify intestinal flora.
Saccharide/lipid nanoconjugates are attractive building blocks for the construction of micro- and nanosized structures because of the roles of glycolipids in human body, courtesy of their intrinsic and functional properties. Herein, nanoconjugates based on dextran and oleic acid (Dex-OA) were synthesized via facile amide-linkage chemistry. The resultant Dex-OA micelles could self-assemble into spherical water-filled microcapsules via a water-in-oil emulsification process.

However, K channel closure alone is not sufficient to induce β-cell electrical activity; activation of a depolarizing membrane current is also required.

HS is considered as the biomarker of asthma. Here, an ultrasensitive chemiresistive HS gas sensor based on a γ-BiMoO-CuO heterostructure with a detection limit of 5 ppb has been fabricated.

Sorcin (SRI) is a soluble resistance-related calcium-binding protein involved in chemoresistant processes and is overexpressed in many chemoresistant cancer cells, including paclitaxel (PTX)-resistant ovarian cancer. Increased SRI can reduce the concentration of calcium ions in the cytosol and mitochondria and the decrease of calcium ion concentration prevents the occurrence of apoptosis.

The infection of MP can cause direct damage and immune damage in lung, resulting in Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP). In this study, we aim to investigate the pathogenesis of MPP by detecting the proliferation of MP under conditions of cell damages and neutrophils in vitro.

Surgical care is one of the significant aspects of global healthcare, with approximately 234 million operations being conducted annually. Surgical treatment has a substantial risk of complications and death. This study was conducted to explore the application effect of the infection control route in the operating room on the wound infection prevention care of patients.

Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) has been used clinically to treat SLE, while its exact mechanism has still remained elusive. Some studies have shown that myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) play a vital role in the regulation of SLE.

A lesion segmentation provides identification of the boundary, shape, and location of the target, and serves as a crucial step toward accurate diagnosis. Despite recent efforts in developing machine learning algorithms to automate this process, problems remain due to the blurry or occluded edges and highly irregular nodule shapes.

After a respiratory tract infection, a 30-month-old male patient presented with unsteady gait that rendered walking impossible without external help.

Engineering macrophages is imperative for the treatment of many diseases including infectious diseases, cancer, neurological diseases, and aging. Unfortunately, plasmid does not cross the nuclear membranes of terminally differentiated macrophages to integrate the plasmid DNA (pDNA) into their genome.

Establishing a safe and efficient electric transfer method is the key to developing rapid DNA vaccines against emerging infectious diseases. To overcome the complexity of designing new electric transfer machines for DNA delivery, a clinically approved electric transfer machine could be considered as an alternative.

Most of these models are fully-convolutional networks (FCNs), namely each layer processes the output of the preceding layer with convolution operations. The convolution operation enjoys several important properties such as sparse interactions, parameter sharing, and translation equivariance.

By tracking the Mg solvation sheath, this work links the passivation components to the Mg -solvents (1,2-dimethoxyethane, DME) coordination and the consequent thermodynamically unstable DME molecules. On this basis, we propose a methodology to tailor solvation coordination by introducing the additive solvent with extreme electron richness.

The proposed pathogenesis of neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) mainly includes ischemia and neuroinflammation mechanisms. Protein encoded by Proteoglycan 2 (PRG2) mRNA is involved in the immune process related to eosinophils, also being found in the placenta and peripheral blood of pregnant women. We evaluated the correlation between PRG2 and NPSLE for the first time and found that PRG2 protein was overexpressed in the serum of patients with NPSLE and correlated with the SLE disease activity index (SLEDAI) subset scores of psychosis.
