Objective: To investigate the clinical and radiographic outcomes of 3 years after partial pulpotomy with iRoot BP Plus in immature permanent teeth with complex crown fracture and to provide refe-rence for the clinical application.
Methods: The study was prospectively designed and 104 immature permanent teeth with complex crown fracture were randomly allocated into two groups (=52). The experiment group received iRoot BP Plus as the pulp capping agent while the control group received calcium hydroxide as the pulp capping agent.
Inhalation of aerosolized uranium is recognized as a principal mode of exposure, posing significant risks of damage to the lungs, kidneys, and other vital organs. To enhance nuclide elimination from the body, chelating agents are employed; however, single-component chelators often exhibit limited spectral activity and low effectiveness, resulting in toxicologically relevant concentrations. We have developed a composite chelating agent composed of 3,4,3-Li(1,2-HOPO), DFP, and HEDP in optimized ratios, demonstrating marked improvements in eliminating inhaled uranium.

We aim to investigate the incremental prognostic value of PCATa beyond clinical and coronary computed tomographic angiography (CCTA) features in patients with nonobstructive CAD.
Methods: Consecutive patients with chest pain suspected of CAD referred for CCTA from January 2017 to December 2018 were prospectively included.
In this study, melamine-urea-formaldehyde/nano-AlO (MUF/nano-AlO) composite gel foams were produced by foaming with CO generated by CaCO and phosphoric acid. Nano-AlO was introduced to the MUF matrix based on the optimum formulation obtained by the response surface methodology based on Box-Behnken design, and the effects of nano-AlO on the cell structure, apparent density, compressive strength, pulverization ratio, thermal stability, and thermal conductivity were investigated. The results revealed that the introduction of nano-AlO could improve the foaming and mechanical properties of MUF with smaller cell sizes, a narrower cell size distribution, decreased apparent density, higher compressive strength, and a decreased pulverization ratio.

Hence, the study examined the impact of a 7-week Mindfulness training program on competition state anxiety in Chinese sprinters.
Methods: Twenty-four sprinters (M = 22.
Xylanases are a class of glycoside hydrolases commonly used in the food, papermaking, and textile industries. However, most xylanases are rapidly inactivated under harsh industrial conditions. Here, a unique and robust GH11 xylanase, AncXyn18, was designed using an ancestral sequence reconstruction strategy, sequence analysis, structure prediction, and experimental verification.

However, the failure of a single agricultural machine during collaborative operations jeopardizes the entire undertaking. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a multi-machine collaborative dynamic job allocation method based on the improved ant colony algorithm.

The results showed that these genes play key roles in abiotic stress response, such as , whose expression in leaves changed significantly under high salt, drought, ABA, and MeJA treatments. In addition, the OsRS genes showed significant genetic variations in different rice populations.

Consequently, exhibited regulatory effects on the lung's metabolic profiles in COPD rats. Treatment with potentially modulated glycerophospholipid metabolism, glutathione metabolism, and tryptophan metabolism, thereby alleviating oxidative stress (by decreasing MDA and GSSG, while increasing SOD and GSH) and inflammatory response (by inhibiting TNF-α, IL-8, and MMP-9) in COPD rats while improving lung tissue damage.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFFollowing the coronavirus disease-2019 outbreak caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2), there is an ongoing need to seek drugs that target COVID-19. First off, novel drugs have a long development cycle, high investment cost, and are high risk. Second, novel drugs must be evaluated for activity, efficacy, safety, and metabolic performance, contributing to the development cycle, investment cost, and risk.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a diabetic complication that results in visual impairment and relevant retinal diseases. Current therapeutic strategies on DR primarily focus on antiangiogenic therapies, which particularly target vascular endothelial growth factor and its related signaling transduction. However, these therapies still have limitations due to the intricate pathogenesis of DR.

This study addresses the need to understand RCC at a cellular level, with a focus on its three main subtypes: clear cell (ccRCC), chromophobe (chRCC), and papillary renal cell carcinoma (pRCC).
Objective: This study aims to comprehensively characterize the cellular diversity and intercellular communication networks of RCC subtypes using scRNA-seq technology.
Microfabrication technology with quartz crystals is gaining importance as the miniaturization of quartz MEMS devices is essential to ensure the development of portable and wearable electronics. However, until now, there have been no reports of dimension compensation for quartz device fabrication. Therefore, this paper studied the wet etching process of Z-cut quartz crystal substrates for making deep trench patterns using Au/Cr metal hard masks and proposed the first quartz fabrication dimension compensation strategy.

We studied the effect of ixekizumab on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) (including patient global, spinal pain, stiffness, and fatigue) and overall health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of ixekizumab in the phase 3 study in China.
Methods: In this Chinese phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, patients with r-axSpA were randomized (1:1) to receive ixekizumab 80 mg every 4 weeks (IXEQ4W; starting dose 160 mg) or placebo for 16 weeks.
Radiation enteritis is the most common complication of pelvic radiotherapy, but there is no effective prevention or treatment drug. Apoptotic T cells and their products play an important role in regulating inflammation and maintaining physiological immune homeostasis. Here it is shown that systemically infused T cell-derived apoptotic extracellular vesicles (ApoEVs) can target mice irradiated intestines and alleviate radiation enteritis.

To address this issue, we developed a novel chitosan-based hemostatic dressing with a magnetic targeting mechanism using FeO, termed bovine serum albumin-modified FeO embedded in porous α-ketoglutaric acid/chitosan (BSA/FeO@KA/CS). This dressing enhances hemostasis by magnetically guiding the agent to the wound site.
