Introduction: Asking patients about pain in the Emergency Department (ED) when deriving a pain score may aggravate perception of pain due to the nocebo-effect. A strategy for diminishing this nocebo-effect is cognitive reframing. Cognitive reframing of the frequently used pain score (PS) in the ED could theoretically be obtained by using the comfort score (CS).

We report a case of a 78-year-old male who developed a pseudoaneurysm of the profunda femoris artery during rehabilitation after intramedullary fixation for a pertrochanteric hip fracture. As this procedure was minimally invasive, open reposition and fixation of the dislocated lesser trochanter were not performed.

Patients And Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study at the Sint Lucas Andreas Hospital in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Between 2008 and 2010, two radiologists independently reviewed all pre-operative CT scans of patients diagnosed with colon cancer.
Objective: To assess response rate, median duration of response, adverse effects, and prognostic factors associated with concurrent administration of lomustine and prednisone as a first-line treatment for dogs with multicentric lymphoma.
Design: Retrospective case series.
Animals: 17 dogs.
Large series with long-term follow-up of thrombolytic therapy in the treatment of lower limb arterial occlusion from a single, general, non-university hospital are absent. We studied retrospectively the results of 129 consecutive patients who underwent thrombolysis with intraarterial urokinase as initial treatment for lower limb native artery or bypass graft occlusions. The mean age of patients was 71 years; 55% of the patients were male, and preexisting peripheral arterial disease was present in 47%.

Data on health, parentage, and yield came from an on-farm program for record keeping and management. Test day production data were obtained from British Columbia DHI.
