This Letter presents the results of a search for pair-produced particles of masses above 100 GeV that each decay into at least four quarks. Using data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2015-2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 38.2  fb^{-1}, reconstructed particles are clustered into two large jets of similar mass, each consistent with four-parton substructure.

The elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient (v_{2}) is measured for charm (D^{0}) and strange (K_{S}^{0}, Λ, Ξ^{-}, and Ω^{-}) hadrons, using a data sample of p+Pb collisions collected by the CMS experiment, at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s_{NN}]=8.16  TeV. Data from heavy ion collisions suggest that the evolution of a parton shower is modified by interactions with the color charges in the dense partonic medium created in these collisions, but it is not known where in the shower evolution the modifications occur. The momentum ratio of the two leading partons, resolved as subjets, provides information about the parton shower evolution. This substructure observable, known as the splitting function, reflects the process of a parton splitting into two other partons and has been measured for jets with transverse momentum between 140 and 500 GeV, in pp and PbPb collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 5.
